"A little pricey and a little greasy but overall a cute, pleasant place to get a bite to eat. I came in around 12:30 PM for lunch/brunch time, and got the Shrimp and Grits and the horchata. The meal was tasty but fairly greasy. Portion size was solid but wouldn't have stuffed me if I was very very hungry. Horchata was $5 and was good (though I don't have many points of comparison). What stands out about M&P is the ambiance and the service. The interior is very cute, with lovely decor. I'm sure this would make a great place to chat over coffee, or hang out for a while. The service is very good. Our server was extremely attentive and kind, and made the whole experience really lovely. I am not exactly dying to return for the food (overall good but expensive), but it's good to know that there's a solid spot in Lakeview that will make for a pleasant dining experience."
