"I’ve always loved sakura cafe’s food, especially their sushi rolls (the crunch and Alaska rolls are my favorite and their lo mein is amazing too)Today I tried their House classic poke bowl and added mango to it and it did not disappoint! They gave a generous amount of sushi (a lot of places don’t put that much in poke bowls) and perfect portions for everything else except I wish there was just a little more rice than salad on the bottom. I’ll definitely be getting this again when I need to get my poke bowl fix in!"

"We were visiting Tomball and Bloofin came up as one of a handful of dinner choices on Open Table. Being Asian Americans, and from California, we have pretty high standards for authentic Asian food, especially Japanese. I'll be honest, even with high reviews, I was skeptical being we were in a small Texas town. Needless to say, we were very happy with everything we ordered which included a Bloofin special sushi and sashimi combo, a yellowtail sashimi dish, and squid sansai. The seafood fried rice was really good and the sashimi was quite fresh and tasty, too! Interestingly, they had a unique and authentic dish I have never seen in Japanese American restaurants, before. Service was great and we were well taken care of by our server Jose! The owner even stopped by to check on us and we briefly spoke, on the way out. The space is decorated in mostly a contemporary flair with a touch of a few asian design cues in a very open space. Overall, a very pleasant and satisfying dining experience! We will definitely come back when visiting Tomball, again!"

"Just ordered delivery last night and WOW was I impressed. My wife and I had a late lunch while shopping all day so after we got home we wanted a little something to share. My wife remembered recieving a menu in our door a couple days prior and wanted to try it. She ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and cheese steak egg rolls. I recently just had my first steak and cheese egg roll about 4 months ago and I've been hooked ever since so eveytime we order Chinese I get an order. At first I thought they were a little expensive at $6.95 but when I got them they were 2 huge egg rolls and the BEST cheese steak egg rolls I've ever had!! And for the steak and shrimp hibachi ... WOW it was great! Everytime we go out to hibachi my wife drenches it with their yum yum sauce but she didn't even use it on Sakura cafes hivachi. It wasn't needed. It was the best fried rice I've ever eaten and the steak was tender and shrimp cooked perfect. Also to a great surprise they threw in some free orange chicken with lomein and shrimp tempura she packed for my lunch for Today and I can say I can't wait to eat my lunch! We will be ordering again, and highly recommend it!"

"I decided to try Koen Japanese BBQ and Sushi tonight after a recommendation from a friend. I went with one of their individual multi course grill meals, the Koen Kirin. The first course consisted of miso soup and a garden salad with a carrot ginger dressing. After that was a three piece order of gyoza made with pork and cabbage. The gyoza was much larger than I thought and was really good. The main course took a little longer, but was worth the wait. My main course consisted of hangar steak in a miso sauce, top sirloin with soy sauce and garlic, spicy pork belly in a sweet and spicy gochujang, and chicken in a savory/umami marinade. It also had sweet potato and I ordered an additional single portion of toro beef in a sweet soy sauce. Overall everything was delicious and I enjoyed the experience of being able to grill the meats. My server Michael did a fantastic job as well. I definitely plan on coming back again. I wish they had a location closer to me in Omaha!"

"Our meals tonight were as delicious as every other time. Carefully prepared and presented. We dining tonight with a party of an were attentively cared for and when our server realized one of the people in our party was waiting for their sushi after other meals had been served, he quickly brought her a soup on the house so she wasn't the only one waiting while we dug into our individually and deliciously prepared meals. I would recommend this place for everything from a last minute night out to a planned event. We will definitely be back sooner than later!"

"Definitely one of my top 5 Japanese restaurants in San Jose! After being stationed in Japan for two years I miss and crave the authenticity of Japanese culture Sushi Masa definitely delivers. The food is delicious, a great sake variety, the staff is all very kind and warm and friendly! You get greeted as soon as you walk in by all the staff and thanked the same way before leaving which is something else I miss from the country. The decor makes me feel like I'm back at my local restaurant in town in Okinawa. Faith was an excellent server! We will be back soon!"

"This was my first time at this location and was looking for some hibachi style food… you know where they cook it in front of you. Well as soon as we walked in we realized they didn’t do that but we sat down anyways.. we had already been to another hibachi place that was closed and we weren’t gonna keep looking for somewhere to eat… anyways.. the food was horrible and the service wasn’t that great at all. It took forever for anyone to come to the table when we were seated and there was only one other customer in the entire restaurant.. the food taste like it was frozen and then cooked. It had no flavor.. if it hadn’t have been for the “Yum Yum” sauce I wouldn’t have been able to eat my food. It was that nasty. My friend got chicken and scallops hibachi bento and the scallops were so chewy and over cooked. The dinner portion of my rice was the same as the lunch portion bento box. When I tried to say something to server she was talking over me and wasn’t even listening. My daughter ordered the shrimp and fried noodles and she drenched it in sauce so she could eat it. I didn’t even want to pay for my food, I hate complaining about the food after I’ve already ordered what I plan to eat but I probably should have sent the whole table of food back.. none of us liked it.. and won’t be going back. Such a waste of my money and time. So disappointing."

"The last time I came here with my family was before the pandemic. This was one of our go-to sushi places and the food was very good then. Fast forward to now... I 'm not really sure what happened to Shoboo, but there 's so many areas that need a lot of improvement. The servers were friendly, but I felt that they were super disorganized. They were mixing up our orders (though to be fair, we were a large party split into two tables . However, the server could not even identify which sushi was which, and we got very confused in the end. The server even said that apparently the sushi chef likes to mix things up by making the sushi rolls look different, which made us even more confused. They told us that they were behind on orders in the kitchen (most likely from their online orders . We asked for 4 orders of takoyaki--two came before the sushi and the other two came right after we finished all the sushi. It was very disorganized and slow. They had a lot of servers, but they were basically just standing their waiting for their chefs to finish the food. I honestly felt bad for the servers, but at the same time, they should really study their menu. The food here was okay during our recent visit, but most of the rolls were doused in sauce. The fish did not seem that fresh. Overall, a disappointing visit. I hope that Shoboo sees all the feedback here (lots of one-stars from the recent reviews! and fix what needs to be fixed."

"This is my favorite sushi restaurant in town. I've been here around 20 times and have always enjoyed the food and service. However, tonight I took my in-laws for their anniversary and was disappointed because we were asked to leave an hour before closing since they were closing early. The server didn’t inform us about last call and didn’t check in on us; instead, they just brought the check without allowing us to order anything else. I noticed they even turned away another table at the door and started cleaning around us, which made us feel rushed to leave. It was really not impressive tonight."

"The dining experience was excellent. The prices range from $30 to $50 per person, which is reasonable for the quality of food. I would give the food a perfect rating of 5, as everything we tried was delicious. The service was quite good as well, with a rating of 4, although there was a bit of a wait at times. The atmosphere also deserves a rating of 4; it was inviting and pleasant. I highly recommend trying the Volcano Roll and the Mandalay Roll—both were standout dishes!"

"On the positive side, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic—with generous portions to match. We ended up bringing home leftovers because the servings were so large. The pictures on the menu don’t accurately reflect the actual size of the food and drinks. For instance, what looked like a standard coronarita in the photo turned out to be half a gallon! I probably shouldn't mention this, but I definitely didn't drive home! The service was impressively quick, which I can only attribute to the hard work of the kitchen staff. I would give the service and food a perfect score of 100, but the noisy atmosphere only deserves a 50. The location and parking also rate a solid 100, while I would assign a 50 for the menu's transparency regarding portion sizes. However, the menu’s clarity on prices earns a perfect score of 100!"

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered a starter, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"Awwwwful service! They don’t treat us the same as anglos. I have to ask for everything. The take out is worse!! I ask for extra soy and they give me one packet. She tells me “you have one in your bag” I tell her the order is for three people and she actually threw two more chopsticks and two soy sauce. I’ve been going there for years and I’ve referred friends, and they’ve experience the same. The hand rolls are half the size and the rolls have more rice than before and the price is three dollars more. I get we’re in hard times, but no excuse for mediocre service. Next take out I’m going to say my name is Smith."
