"The food was exquisite. We had the tasting menu. 6 courses, each one building off the last and leading perfectly into the next. Lots of flavor exploding out of little bite size parts of beautiful creations. I was amazed at the creativity, flavors and presentation! The service was wonderful. Very attentive. I wish they explained the food in more common speak though. We had to keep asking what things were after the explanations assumed we spoke French or ultra foodie language. We are not generally folk who eat ultra fancy foods so we would be like okkk but that does that even mean. More accessible language would have been nice. The layout is small and intimate with an open kitchen. That's amazing to see the team of quite, focused talented chefs doing their thing. The head chef was kind to his kitchen and always looking over the quality of the dishes. It was wonderful to see the inner workings of the well oiled kitchen. The price point for the food was fine but BEWARE the wine pairing. That was almost as much or more than the food. This made the total way over what we would even spend for the best meal of the year or decade. I was thinking dang I coulda given my parents a weekend getaway all expenses paid for this amount. We shoulda done the math earlier. So anyway if you wanna spend about $500 for three people for a very special occasion you're in the right place. If you're rich enough to spend 1K on dinner, come loan me a grand cuz my credit card bill is now on fleek."

"One of the best culinary experience that Cambridge can offer. As one of the top 3 Mediterranean restaurants in Cambridge, Oleana certainly did not disappoint. I’ve been to quite a few upscale Mediterranean restaurants, but Oleana was one of the few places that can masterfully combine the authentic and contemporary elements of Mediterranean cuisines. Oleana focuses more on the Turkish dishes which also makes them stand out a bit more, We started off with the whipped feta which was a great representation of how spices are used in Mediterranean dishes. The subsequent hot meze plates Vermont quail kebob, moussaka, borek, trout spanakopita were also spectacular. While the spice levels have been compromised to make the dishes more palatable, the subtle scent of different spices was adequate to make them interesting. For the entrées, we had the lemon chicken and the Istanbul fish stew. Lemon chicken was covered in za’atar which is a mix of different spices, and the cheese pancake underneath perfectly compensated for the slightly dry texture of the chicken. Istanbul fish stew was the only menu that I thought was a tad bland, but it was still a nice introduction to Turkish food. We finished our meal with their signature baked Alaska which was phenomenal. Under the melted zesty meringue were some coffee ice cream and coconut pastry, and I enjoyed every bite of it. Co Highly recommend trying them out, but make sure to make the reservation at least two weeks in advance."

"We had the following experience at c1880 - we attempted to keep our experience just between us and the staff of the restaurant until we discovered they had DELETED OUR OPENTABLE RESERVATION after we had left to try and making our thoughts known. We have contacted Open Table management. Here's what happened: Our waiter 'Aaron,' couldn't have cared less about us or the tables around us. Our foie gras came out very cold (like very cold butter), such that it had to be cut. When we mentioned this to the waiter and said we would like to let it warm up, he just said 'OK', and walked away. Our experience worsened from there. Our entrées arrived. I had the wild boar chops, and my partner had the dusk breast. My chops were severely over-cooked and tough. His duck breast was tough to cut and chewy, but reasonably flavorful. We were able to share most of the duck breast before we could even get our waiter to acknowledge us. While we were trying to get his attention, we heard his flat, uncaring demeanor expressed to other customers. One of the other customers even had to correct him on menu items where again; he couldn't be bothered. When I was finally able to bring the poor execution of my meal to the attention of the waiter, he simply said. 'OK, would you like them to re-fire this or can I get you something else?', never apologizing. Not once. We just asked for the check. When the check arrived, he put my credit card on the table and said 'Thanks, I hope you enjoyed your meal and have a good night.' We couldn't believe it. Then, we noticed he took the wrong entrée off the check. That's how disconnected this place is. On the way out of the restaurant, we tried to make out concerns known to your maître d'. Again, all he said was 'Thanks, and have a good night' on our way out. The thing that really ticks me off is that we paid $140 for **** food and service at a place where that didn't need to happen, and what your staff did to those phenomenal ingredients is just shameful. We went over to Coquette and told them what had happened. Several of their waiters were also surprised to hear about our experience. Our meal and service there was excellent. This was an excellent choice in Milwaukee, but is no longer worth the time, money, or risk of ruining an evening."

"We joined friends for a light dinner before a performance at the neighboring Joyce Theater. Our first server filled our water glasses and then never returned to our table. Another server eventually arrived after we asked what we presumed was the manager to have someone come and take our order. Our server was pleasant enough and seemed amenable to getting our orders to the table so that we'd have plenty of time in advance of the show (we arrived 1.25 hours in advance of showtime .Our table of 5 just ordered a collection of starter dishes, three of which were relatively simple salads. Two of our party ordered a glass of wine each. The bar wasn't busy at all but the wine took at least 20 minutes to arrive. Our simple food order took nearly 40 minutes to arrive and we had to check a couple of times with the manager as we could not get the attention of our server despite the fact that the restaurant was only moderately busy. Our food was okay but our appetizer salads were stuffed into bowls that were far too small making it a challenge to eat without spilling the contents on to the table. Our fries were fine (but really, who screws up french fries? . I can't comment on the entree meals but there was nothing particularly noteworthy about our starter meals. The restaurant has a clean and contemporary appearance but is very loud and cramped. It was a hot day and several of our party were feeling the heat (sliding window panels were open and ceiling fans were on but this was not enough to make it comfortable on this particularly hot day .We've visited plenty of smaller restaurants around NYC and nearly all of them had pretty decent if not excellent service and in many cases exceeded our food expectations both in preparation and presentation. Seamore's is a notable exception for a fairly new NYC restaurant. Exceptionally poor service, no apparent management, cramped tables (do not take a table in the middle of the restaurant , and a run-of-the mill food experience. Avoid this restaurant unless you have no issue with exceedingly slow service (even when it's not particularly busy and have no problem paying a premium price for decent but otherwise pretty average food. The very substandard service may be a consequence of the difficulty restaurants are having getting qualified front of house staff. The owners should nonetheless do themselves a favor and replace pretty much all the managerial and wait staff in this restaurant. Couldn't be much worse than what's already there."
