"I observed the preparation of four burgers while at the drive-thru. Eventually, I asked another young lady where my burger was, and she offered me fresh fries. I told her I didn’t want fresh fries; I just needed my burger heated so I could enjoy my lunch with my husband before he finished eating. I mentioned it would only take 7 seconds to microwave a burger, but where was mine?
After about two minutes, my cheeseburger finally came back. I bit into it and was disappointed—the quality of the meat was terrible, and there were no onions after all that hassle! I requested a refund, but the young lady seemed uninterested as I tried to explain the issue. The so-called manager came out but didn’t engage with me at all. I told him the burger wasn’t made correctly, yet the young lady just kept saying, "no problem." The manager stood there staring at me as if I were from another planet, without asking any questions or saying a word.
I’ve made the decision never to return to another Hardee’s. There was hardly anyone else waiting for their food, just us and a couple of other cars in line. The service was atrocious. One young man with dark hair, who wasn’t the one who handed me my burger but was rather delivering food to tables, was quite pleasant; kudos to him. I suggested to the manager that the young man preparing the burgers needed some direction, but again, she remained silent.
I was starving! The coupons advertised a double cheeseburger, but it turned out that meant no lettuce or tomatoes on the sandwich. Very disappointing. There’s a clear need for better training in several areas. Overall assessment: food 1 (it’s like Burger King but worse), staff 7, manager 1."
