"Sausage, Pepperoni, Garlic Basil Pizza: Appearance Chicago cut, eye pleasing pizza. Basil could use a bit more even spread. Nice, thin, soft perfectly cooked crust no cracker here) 4/5 Taste No need for parmesan or red pepper here. Solid pizzawith a good foundation of ingredients. The basil smells REALLY nice. With every bite you get a few pieces of garlic whichcompliments the sauce well. The sauce is mid range, not too flavorful, but robust enough to not leave you with a feeling thatsomething is lacking. The pepperoni is not showing up in the flavor profile even though there 's definitely a ton of it. 4/5 Meatball sandwich: Appearance Beautiful sandwich. One of the best meatball sandwiches I 've ever seen. The cheese ismelted over the meatballs albeit not browned so they probably poured it from a bowl or melting pot instead of putting it in anoven. This helps keep the rest of the ingredients from drying out, but maybe take a torch to it brown it a bit afterwards fora more delectable appearance. They also missed the peppers on one meatball. 4/5 Taste Quite good. On some bites you get anodd sugar hit they sprinkled sugar on the sweet peppers it seems which is my first time experiencing this so it 's weird.)Everything works well although the bread should be a bit larger considering the massive size of the meatballs. A soft hoagiebread probably would contain this better. Trying to eat the thing was a mess as the sauce soaked through the bread 's middlewhich caused it to split into separate halfs. Other than the actual eating experience, the ingredients themselves are good. Thesauce stands out a bit more here since the meatballs have relatively mild seasoning. 4/5 Overall: Rosati 's offers a solid menufor a fairly inexpensive price. A medium pizza is $14 the toppings are $2 each. A basic meatball sandwich is $9. Adding thebells whistles to the sandwich only brough it up to $11 so definitely not a bank breaker there. "After a long day at work in downtown Denver--my first day at the office after finally testing negative for Covid--I stopped to pick up my pizza from Rosati's. A man waiting in the store complained to his wife about how their pizza is going to take another 20 minutes.Me: They must be short staffed. The pizza is good though!Man: I really hope so. This is the first time I'm ordering from here. I've never waited this long before for a pizza. I wanted to treat my grandson who has been working hard in our backyard. I was then told by a young man that my pizza would also take another 20 minutes, which would take it well past 7.Me: But you close at 7.Young man: No. We close at 8.Me: You have a sign there that says you close at 7.He has no idea it was there. He took it down and threw it away.I texted my husband to let him know.Hubs: Never ordering from there again?Me: That's not fair. They may just be having a bad day. Next time, we should call to find out the real wait time before ordering online.I'm huge on supporting local businesses.Several others arrived, and joined the wait. The first man finally got his pizza, wished me luck and left. Shortly after, the young man working the front also left. Pizzas were called out by name by another young man, and those folks also left. I figured they must have ordered before me.Then the last person to arrive also got his pizza. Me: I've been here over half an hour. Do you have an ETA on my pizza?Young man: What's the order?Me: 42[I know! All I can tell you is that it's definitely not the answer at Rosati's!]Young man (pulls out pizza from warming oven): Oh, it's been ready for a while. I just forgot about it. Seriously? I called my husband: Never ordering from there again! I was in there for 38 minutes. Waiting for a pizza that was ready! Why did I even bother convincing the other customer that it was worth the wait? On a weekend, I might have more patience. But on a weekday, especially a long day when I was feeling the fatigue associated with recovery from Covid, I did my best not to get upset. They didn't know my situation. But they should have known that the pizza was ready, that someone was waiting for it and that they made someone wait for no reason. All other pizzas were called out by name. And some were called multiple times when there was no answer. Just not mine. It's just my luck that these things happen to me. My advice to you is this: call them. If they don't answer their phone (it was ringing and ringing), get your pizza fix elsewhere. If they answer, ask them how long it's really going to take. Then decide if you want to place your order. Maybe you might have better luck. Me? I was too tired to enjoy my pizza."

"We were very frustrated after our experience and called back immediately, but the person who claimed to be the owner or manager made it difficult for us. When I asked if he was the manager, he hesitated and replied, "Yeah, I guess," which felt dismissive. For a small pizza that cost $30, I expected it to be cooked properly, not burnt with a hard blackened crust. Additionally, the Italian sausage was excessively salty. We were instructed not to touch the pizza, but we wanted to see how it looked, so that was impossible to follow. My husband tried a slice first and found it nearly inedible, which only added to our disappointment. The customer service was terrible. They sent another pizza, but the delivery driver insisted on receiving a tip, even though we had already paid a $7 delivery fee for a ride that took only five minutes. It felt inappropriate to be pressured for a tip given the poor quality of the food. At $30 for a small pizza, this place is definitely overpriced. I would rather go to Old World in Elmwood Park, where I can get a large pizza for the same price. Overall, this restaurant is not worth it—rude customer service and overly salty pizza. We ended up throwing it away! Proceed with caution if you decide to order here. I highly recommend Old World Pizza in Elmwood Park; they truly deserve five stars. Unfortunately, we didn't go there this time and ended up wasting our last $30. I can't recommend this place to friends or family."
