"It’s a little sad to see so many good reviews when the food was not great. Only reason I’m giving two stars, it’sbecause of their service. Firstly, food wasn’t seasoned enough, the beef shawarmas were overcooked and had almost no seasoning whatsoever (not enough salt as well). The grill kabobs were also dry and hard to eat after it went cold. Also, we ordered the knafeh (which they said they ran out, then came back and said they actually had it) and it was one of the worst knafehs we have tried. The cheese was almost nonexistent, it smelled like old butter and it had a very carrot buttery taste. We couldn’t even finish it. Overall, a few items were decent such as the ozie shawarma and the lemonade with mint. Lastly, make sure to inspect carefully the check before putting your cards down, since it seems the restaurant menu has different prices than what they actually charge. The overall total didn’t add up to what we ordered base on their menu prices, don’t make the same mistake as us."

"Disappointing. My wife and I were married at this facility 21 years ago, and it was our anniversary. Although it was a different ownership and venue then we thought it would be nice to celebrate there. We had a 7pm reservation. Arrived 15 minutes early and was told to wait in the lounge until the table was ready. We ordered drinks. 15 minutes later, we were brought to our table and was told our drinks will be brought to the table. 45 min later, my wife received hers, and they asked me what it was I wanted again? 1 hour later, my drink arrived. I was going on 2 hrs and we haven’t received our meal. We told the waitress to just get our check we are leaving. She came back and told us they are just plating the food, and do we want it. We agreed to accept the food. The food came and it was COLD! My wife’s salmon was dry and salty. On top of that, they charged us for a 50$ bottle of wine we didn’t order. They said they were having a staffing issue, which is too bad. We wanted to like the place. Happy Anniversary!"

"Oh my goodness, if you're looking for a very delicious, authentic Mediterranean restaurant, PLEASE go visit Sunnin. My husband is Egyptian, and he says it's one of the best spots that makes food close to homemade. The ambiance gives the feel of the Middle East. The music, the couches with pillows(and chairs as well) are all esthetically nice and comforting. We have been pleased with our service and wait time. The waiters and waitress are very attentive. I love the stuffed zucchini, the salads, the chicken shawarama, and the garlic sauce. Their menu is pretty extensive, and they haven't disappointed."

"Charming and modest, the host and chef were incredibly friendly and served our food promptly. The prices were a bit higher than I would have preferred, but it’s hard to find anything cheaper that offers such quality in Los Angeles. The chicken shawarma was juicy, tender, and light, seasoned with fragrant garlic-forward spices that made it hard to stop eating until it was all gone! The falafel was fresh and creamy, prepared in the traditional brown style. The cumin flavor stood out beautifully and paired well with the tahini that accompanied it. I was also treated to a sample of the hummus, served plain, and I was pleasantly surprised by its smooth, fluffy texture. It coated my mouth with a prominent tahini (sesame) flavor—possibly the best in LA, rivaled only by the hummus I make at home in Israel!"

"I am so happy I found Sunnin can get delivery of Kebbeh Nayeh! I am Lebanese from my dad apos;s side enjoyed lots of Lebanese food growing up. Kibbeh Nayeh is like a Lebanese beef tartare, one of my favs! Whatever we did not finish at dinner, we would have with Sunnyside eggs on top the very next morning. The Kibbeh is fresh delicious, the Hummus Kawarma is smooth, creamy flavorful with without the meat pine nuts. I ordered the only dessert I have never had before, (starts with an A) it is creamy with floral orange blossom flavor. We love desserts with orange blossom or rose water with pistachio. Everything was delicious. I only wish they had savory bread (pita with the all spices on top). I will have to try the spinach pies, meat pies, tabouleh, grape leaves, fattoush, etc, in future."

"I feel incredibly fortunate to live near this local gem. Every visit, the food is delicious and fresh. The hummus is outstanding, and they offer an incredible variety of fresh salads with any platter. If you're really hungry, I highly recommend the eggplant-stuffed pita with a hard-boiled egg—your taste buds will be grateful! I always take my family here when they visit from out of town, and it never fails to be a highlight of their trip!"

"Excellent food service. We got a good size take-out order from here for the first time in a while, and it was perfect. Food was for our cherished neighbor's birthday, and it did not disappoint. humous/baba/tab was delicious; the baba was the best I've had, combination of smoky and vinegar was just great. My lamb gyro was awesome. Wife's salad was so good, I'm going to buy another one tomorrow and drive it to my parents 2hrs away. The feta is good, but the seasonings on top really make it a different salad Stuffed grape leaves were the best. Will be back."

"I booked this restaurant for our family dinner hoping to find somewhere decent for 15 people to agree on and eat. Let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations. The service was amazing, courses came round and round seamlessly, just before my wine cup could even empty, it's instantly refilled. The owner was so kind to us and the food was absolutely delicious. I will be returning and already recommending this restaurant to anyone who will listen to me."
