"The Mediterranean Pasta was excessively salty—there really was no need for that much salt! They also forgot to include the salad dressings for my Greek Side Salad and House Side Salad. While the salads were fresh enough, I had to wait an additional 30 to 45 minutes for a Dasher to be notified about my order. Unfortunately, the cucumbers in the salads had a fishy taste, and the tomatoes weren’t fresh either."

"Waitresses are always good regardless of which one but upon a mixup of dishes receiving the wrong one the response of management resulted in us taking the bill and leaving. Mistakes happen although preventable they happen but responses to these incidents depend on how the situation progresses from there. Had a normal team lead accept the situation and resent the correct plate it would've gone fine but we were belittled and encouraged to confess the fault was not on them or the kitchen but the fault was our own. I can accept any of my own failings but whether I requested baked or fried or hot or cold when you ask politely for a change it is the duty of the staff to make that happen not break down a play by play of finger pointing. Thank God there's more then one 99!"

"I ordered a meal through DoorDash from this restaurant, choosing the buffalo boneless wings and loaded tots combo, along with the chocolate-drizzled dough bites. I have to say, I am really disappointed with this meal. The loaded tots tasted spoiled, as if the sauce had gone bad. To make matters worse, I only received seven tots in total—definitely not what I would call "loaded." The boneless wings were acceptable but nothing special. However, the worst part of the meal was the dough bites. I have to hand it to them; they somehow made something that was both moist and incredibly dry at the same time—quite an achievement! I couldn't even swallow one of the dough bites. They lacked flavor, were extremely chewy, and just didn't sit well at all. I wouldn't recommend any of the items I ordered, especially if you have any self-respect. Don't waste your money on this!"

"The food is consistently excellent, and I've never had a bad experience. Waitress Alexis is a fantastic server; she always greets everyone, even if she isn’t serving them. The bartenders, Tara, Emily, Nick, and Brian, are all friendly and attentive, making sure to take special care of the guests at the bar. I will definitely continue to visit the 99 in Haverhill."

"When we arrived, a party of six, we were seated promptly. Our waitress approached us, introduced herself, and asked if we had dined there before. We replied that we had not, and expressed our interest in the special. I specifically inquired if the promotion was still available, to which she confirmed that it was. We all ordered the special with excitement. However, about 15 minutes later, the waitress returned to inform us that the special was no longer available due to a shortage of lobsters. Disappointed, we were given menus to choose from again. After some deliberation, we settled on new selections. The food was just okay. We experienced a long wait for two drinks from the bar, and the wait for our meals was also considerable. The experience of cooking steak on the black stone grill was enjoyable, but the garlic butter provided lacked flavor and was meant for cooking the steak. I highly recommend adding salt and pepper for a better taste. Additionally, it would be helpful if the meat were served on a separate plate rather than on the black stone, as it continues to cook while the staff explains the process. If you prefer your steak less done, it may overcook by the time it reaches you. I ordered my steak medium, and I had to quickly remove it from the heat to prevent it from being cooked too much. My husband and son (the birthday boy) ordered chicken Alfredo, which appeared quite dry. My daughter and younger son had burgers, both of which they thoroughly enjoyed. My mom and I opted for the steak like I mentioned earlier, and we appreciated the cooking experience we shared."

"A group of four of us chose to sit at the bar, which proved to be a great decision. We met many friendly locals who were eager to share information about the area, give directions, and even show us a recent photograph of a bear that one of them had captured. For appetizers, we ordered the bourbon wings, which were simply amazing, and the garlic parmesan wings, loaded with garlic and delicious. We got eight wings for around $8, which were a good size, generously sauced, and definitely worth the price! We also tried the chicken quesadillas, which were very good, along with silver dollar-sized potato pancakes that were tasty and came with the classic accompaniments of sour cream and applesauce. We shared some cheese fries, which I believe were hand-cut. They were not greasy at all, nicely crisp, and smothered in cheese sauce. In addition to standard bar fare, the restaurant offers full dinners, along with chicken and fried shrimp baskets. The service was very friendly and prompt in refilling our drinks. They had a nice selection of beers available, and you can also purchase six and twelve-packs to go. Our total bill for four people, which included six pint-sized beers, two soft drinks, three orders of wings, potato pancakes, cheese fries, and quesadillas, came to $68 before tip. When we visited, the restaurant was up for sale, so I can't guarantee that things will remain the same, but I really hope they do!"

"Stopped in with my family, we are local and we've passed by so many times. I would state this is your run of the mill local tavern. A convenient option for hotel guests for the attached hotel. The food was not bad but not exceptional. The beer selection was hit or miss as to what they had available but they were willing to let me sample. Had local live music and a decent crowd. Waited a little longer than desired for check, but I did not get a strong impression that the wait staff was very experienced. Great views which will be even better as the weather warms. Would go again, but for beers, music and views."

"The new 99 in Middleton is a fantastic spot, especially for watching games at the bar. We chose to sit at the high tops and enjoyed the baked haddock, baked stuffed shrimp, and a cheeseburger—all perfectly cooked and delicious. Justin, our server, was amazing! We also tried the grilled chicken flatbread, which was outstanding. Bill, the manager, made a point to visit every table and chat with guests—very classy!"

"Our server informed me that the butter wouldn't be placed directly on the hot stone as it would evaporate quickly. I enjoyed my steak and the seasoning that came with it. "My son's meal was just as he asked for it. Country chicken, no gravy, double mashed potatoes. The chicken was a little dry but otherwise he was happy. My burger was cooked well done. I asked for medium rare, I asked for cheddar and American cheese but only got American cheese. I asked for a side of honey mustard but got none. My husband got balsamic salmon and broccoli and rice. He said his rice was undercooked and hard otherwise everything was good. We received no utensils or napkins. Typically the 99 is on point and consistent. Lately we have had experiences like this and it is becoming disappointing enough that we may have to go elsewhere when we do eat out, which is not often."

The food was decent, though it felt like typical chain fare. I can't help but think that if I had a different server or sat in another section, the experience could have been much better. "Four of us came here to have fun and they charged us $25 each to get in but would not allow one of my friend in the club because he had sweat pants on. when we complained to a staff, he said wait at the bar we will refund you. But we waited an hour, then when we went to see the manager named Jay Beacon he rudely said we can't refund any money. I have been serving in the active duty military for last 17 years and been to many places ..I haven't dealt with a highway robbery like this ever. They shouldn't have charged us for club entry if sweat pants aren't allowed in the first place. Please dont go to this at all, it's a money trap, everything is unnecessarily expensive and attitude of the staff is unprofessional."

"I decided to check out this restaurant after hearing numerous recommendations. However, I'm puzzled as to why it has nearly a 5-star rating; the food was incredibly disappointing. My Delvikios Linguine was swimming in what seemed like plain chicken stock, and the breadsticks tasted like they were made from frozen Pillsbury dough, shaped into something that barely resembled a stick. The marinara sauce was on par with store-bought Prego. While I appreciate the family-run business atmosphere and found the service professional, the prices led me to expect decent pasta. Unfortunately, it tasted more like cafeteria food. If you’re looking for genuinely good Italian cuisine, I suggest looking elsewhere."

"Ok, they have added a steak and a chicken dish to their menu...I guess for summer along with a few other things but still...they've changed their menu, I live within walking distance, not worth going there anymore, no steak or chicken entrees. some great dishes they used to have are no longer available. not sure who the kitchen manager/chef is but I'm guessing the person isn't trained so the menu has been adjusted for that kind of incompetence. last time I was there, 2021, Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday at 5 p.m., they had no beef except hamburgers, said they'd run out again, inept management. I had chicken fettuccine, the fettuccine was ok, the chicken wasn't edible. my once-feral cat wouldn't even eat it. this restaurant was well-loved in town but it's gone so far down I'm amazed. I think the owner uses it as a tax write-off. too sad."
