"My Daddy suggested Flippers 2 years ago, some of the best brick-fired pizza, if we ever go Tampa! Well, we had business to take care of in Tampa, Fl this past Saturday, and a decision was made for me to try Flippers. We went to the Flippers on N. Dale Mabry Hwy, which was in close proximity to where we needed to be! It was early evening 4:30 pm. Nice looking building. We walked in and noticed that it smelled pretty darn good. I 'm from New Jersey and my family owned a popular Fine Dining establishment in historic Chambersburg district back in the day! I know restaurant smells, and this one brought me back! Very nice, very fresh with a subtle hint of garlic and cheese and herbs. I noticed the very nice delivery bags stacked neat and orderly, glanced up and saw the menu, looked just the like their website menu, which I glanced at earlier that day. I saw Calzone, I saw Individual Pizzas, really nice ingredient salads, the polite gentleman waiting to take our order, blond, not a kid but definitely not older than myself. I ordered the calzone! I asked for sausage and fresh garlic, add extra ricotta and an extra side of marinara. My friend ordered a meat- lovers individual pizza. We both got root beers in the bottle and the gentleman gave us two cups for ice when I requested. There was a couple finishing up their meal, we took the booth by the front window, my back was too the front of the restaurant which was very clean, I was happy to see crushed red pepper and parmigiana cheese as part of the table condiment setup. My friend who was sitting across from me said there was another gentleman in the kitchen area chopping fresh bell peppers. I asked him what color. Green. Very Cool. I retorted. Food didn 't take long. It was brought to our table and looked and smelled delicious. My Daddy 's individual pizza was perfect too! Said he! Calzone came perfectly prepared and was the best calzone I had since moving to Florida 7 years ago! I told the 2 gentleman that when we left. We totally recommend!"
