"We had friends visiting and decided to try this Thai restaurant since it was the only one not located in downtown Silver Spring, and the reviews looked great. We took the subway and found it easily—it’s conveniently close to the station. When we arrived, the place was completely empty, which made us a bit nervous, and it felt quite damp inside. We had to ask them to turn on the AC, and they brought us a fan—definitely a relief.
We ordered: Tom Kha Soup, Grilled Beef Salad, Chicken Pad Thai, Shrimp with Spicy Aubergine, Crispy Fish with Thai Basil Sauce, and Tofu Pad Lake Ew. Everything was tasty and everyone was happy with their meals. Prices were reasonable as well.
I tried to redeem a free Thai iced tea offer that required checking in with photos and a review, but this wasn’t clearly communicated when I checked in. The manager made a bit of a fuss about paying for one of the three drinks, which felt a little dramatic. Although the food was good, I’m not sure I’ll be coming back. The Thai food scene in downtown Silver Spring is just more competitive."
