"I truly appreciate traditional Korean cuisine, and I’m so glad I discovered this restaurant (thanks to the clinical hours across the street). My husband and I ordered the BBQ Combo 2, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The sushi was fresh and delicious, the meat was unbelievably flavorful, and all the side dishes made me feel like I was in a genuine Korean home. From the service to the food, everything was excellent and completely satisfied my cravings. My husband and I will definitely be returning, and I’m particularly excited to try the kimchi and pork belly stew next time!"

"This place is overhyped. There's always a wait, it seems. But the meat packages aren't that great. We came on labor day and they were super understaffed. Everyone was literally running around and while I appreciated the staff themselves... this is just not a good way to run a business. Staff would drop food and literally run away. We didn't get our water until way late..I was sitting by the sunny window and sweated my life away. The banchan was good I liked the kimchi and fish cakes. The steamed egg was good. The spicy pork belly was good. The chicken wasn't good it was pre cooked and came out on a hot plate. Didn't have a lot of flavor, was kind of dry. The vegetable option came with like 2 broccoli, 2 mushrooms, a slice of onion,1 tofu, and a slice of sweet potato we had to cut everything up and spread it out‐ kind of wished they cut it up.... Overall the place is really small, the options are limited, and I wasn't super impressed."

"I'm posting this restaurant because I went here before I was vegan, and it has great quality food and service. My dad wanted to go last night for his birthday and I was hesitant. I was sure everything would have fish sauce in it. I called ahead and they said they had vegan options. They only have 2 things on the menu, but I think its worth mentioning if you have to go with a group of people. The tofu Bibimbap with no egg is vegan, and the Japchae with no beef is vegan as well. Also the table comes with 6 appetizers. I'm pretty sure everything except the kimchi and the macaroni are vegan. Love this place and hope they add more options soon!"

"The service at this restaurant was terrible. When my mom and I decided to share a dish because the portions were large, the waitress criticized us for not ordering enough food for four people. This was ridiculous, as we had ordered plenty of food for our table. Additionally, at the end of our meal we felt pressured to leave a tip of over 20%, despite the rude behavior we had experienced. I recommend trying other Korean restaurants in the area that offer great food and respectful service."

"Had a great experience! Went there for my birthday with my family. First time too also! The host was very friendly and I would also recommend booking a reservation in advance if all possible. Nice that they remain open late, but they still can be very busy. No menu, everything is online by scanning the QRC code on the table. Or, we never asked for one cause we saw the QRC code on the table. We did the korean bbq and had ordered the thick pork belly, marinated beef short ribs, bugolgi, some veggies and fried chicken wings with white rice. All comes with side dishes. All very good! We also ordered a lychee saku and it is nice to know it comes with a lychee fruit in it too (all in the silver pitcher, can’t see). Place looks clean and decent. Our waiter was very nice too! The reason why only 4 stars, street/meter parking only, no valet either. If busy, food/drinks can be delay, understandable."

"My office ordered food for lunch and looked at the menu that is listed on the website. When the person who picked it up came back with a total of $42 when it should be closer to $25 I called and asked why it was a big difference. The man on the phone told me that menu was a long time ago and the deleted it and how did I find it, I was like sir its on your official website under menu not hard to find with a google search. They were very rude but after arguing with them I did get a refund and then charged for whats listed on the website. Food was not even that great to begin with."

"We ordered their seafood pancakes, galbi jjim, fish raw soon tofu for normal dishes and we also did BBQ with the jumuluk and pig bell. The portions are quite large, so we had too much food, but I just wanted to try so many of their options. I really liked the seafood pancakes and Galbi-Jjim. The Galbi-Jjim was super delicate and fell from the bone. My sister likes her fish roe tofu as she is a great tofu soup type of person. The BBQ was not bad, though quite expensive. I think I liked the pig belly more, but in general I could order the dishes for the next time. Note that they cook the meat for you (and for the pig bell they dip it into the sauce for you first), so I would wait for them to do it instead of burning your expensive meat. Also the secondary dishes especially loved the apple and glass noodles. There are also a number of signs that car breaks are common in the area, so leave nothing valuable or electronics in your car. It must be a recurring problem as they have huge signs and so many of them at the entrance of the restaurant, they even ask you to sit. I saw broken window glass on the floor of the parking lot, so I would be sure and not valuables in there."

We were promptly seated and had the opportunity to dine at the bar area, which was situated within charming old buildings, creating a unique ambiance. "This review hurts to write because I the food here is decent! But the reason why I'm leaving a negative review is because the Galbi-Tang I got for takeout wasn't sealed properly. So the soup spilled onto the bag, causing a rip with everything falling out. When I called asking if it could be replaced, they replied that after I picked it up it no longer became their responsibility. That's disappointing for me.. what's $20 to a restaurant for something that they were responsible for? Is money that important? They've lost a loyal customer, with a pretty big Korean network in Philly. Can't say I'll recommend them to my friends anymore after this. Hopefully y'all don't go through the same thing!"

"I went to the restaurant with three people and we ordered a combo meal for 2-3 people, but we couldn't finish it all because the food was so good. The lady who cooked our food was very kind, even though she didn't speak much English. We tried to communicate with her using a mix of English and Korean. The rice and side dishes were delicious, and while I didn't enjoy the chicken as much, the beef and pork were excellent. Everything was flavored perfectly, and my favorite sauce was the chili sauce. The tofu soup was comforting and perfect for the cold weather in New York, especially if you're feeling under the weather. Our budget was $200, but our total bill came to around $150. The only issue was that we had to pay a tip of over $30, which was unexpected as it was 18% of the total bill. Despite that, we will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to others."

"I love this place and their food but the waitresses were kind and attentive to other tables around us but not once did they acknowledge us but left us waiting at table while taking order for everyone that came after us. They had already gotten their food by the time they came for us. Thats how long it took.Our food came with missing items which we had to ask for. Up to that point we were just like maybe they are not having a good day and just tried to understand them. No eye contact just being straight rude was where it bothered me. One lady with pony tail specifically seemed just annoyed with us for no reason. We never bothered them and never requested for any refills. Only ordered and asked for the missing items. We are usually always quiet and never bother them every time we come.I have been coming here for many years and this is the first time I had this experience.After we received our check and being upset I gave minimum tip. The lady with the pony tail waited annoyed for me to hurry up with the tip. I gave it to her and as she walked away, she stepped to the side and stared at me with disgust."

"I’m Korean and have enjoyed the food here in the past, but it’s no longer the same. I DO NOT recommend WASTING MONEY here. I visited on 3/31/24 and was deeply disappointed in the quality of the food. I don’t really know what to say other than that none of the dishes was cooked properly: seafood pajun pancake was cold, oily and tasted like it was cooked on a cold skillet that was brought to temperature inedible. I sent it back. The two other dishes were equally inedible: codfish stew broth tasted watery and wasn’t hot just fish floating in watery broth… actually disgusting for $23.95. The pork and tofu stew was also cold. Why? The pork and kimchi cabbage was tough it should be braised and tender. Simply unacceptable at $28.95. With a bottle of sake, I paid $87.59 with tip. The food was seriously inedible we ate none of it. When I disputed the charge, the owner didn’t accommodate a refund. Really terrible. I feel robbed and very angry. The food here does such a disservice to true Korean cuisine. Korean food is flavorful, rich, absolutely delicious when properly cooked. AVOID THIS PLACE don’t waste your money or your valuable time… like I did."

"Honestly, this is the best Kung Pao chicken I've ever had. To be fair, I haven't been to any really upscale Chinese restaurants, but I've always wanted to enjoy Kung Pao chicken because it sounds amazing. Unfortunately, most places I’ve tried include too many vegetables, are not spicy enough, or the chicken just isn't good. However, this restaurant nailed it in every way. The chicken was spicy and full of flavor, and there was a perfect amount of it. I requested it extra spicy, and I can definitely feel that extra kick from the spice they used. I give it a perfect 10/10—definitely order it with white rice!"
