"No doubt, being Valentine's Day evening, the restaurant was VERY crowded. We had a reservation and arrived 15 min. early for it, but had to wait 35-40 minutes to be seated. We were given a booth, very happy about that. The service was erratic, at best, probably due to the crowdedness, and all the waiters were rushing here and there. Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed and somewhat forgetful about items he promised to bring, but overall, he did his best. He was courteous and friendly. The food was FANTASTIC!!! The prime rib and the ribeye steak were done just right, and the caeser salads were perfect in portion size and flavor! Overall, we were pleased with our dinner there. Thank you Black Angus!"

"What a difference a year makes. My mom, her caregiver and friend make a point to go to Black Angus for NYE. Last year's experience almost made me not want to reserve for this year. Went ahead and took a chance. WOW, they said service was great, food the best they have ever had (filet mignon you could cut with a fork) and delicious. "First the dinner salads were terrible, sour leaf with little to no iceberg. Second. My lobster tail was a really nice looking shell with two inches of meat, the menu says lobster tails by the way. $150.00 and we left most of the so called food on the table. J will never go back."

"Was honestly disappointed by this place. In the past often here and it was great. At first we went with reservations, but had to wait 15 minutes, angry, but okay, I suppose. The staff was not apologetic at all and was completely stone. We finally sat, but the staff forgot us. 15 minutes passed and we didn't even get water. We decided to go somewhere else, and we told them we'd go ahead because we don't have a service. The staff shredded and said without care. It was depressing to see a place I love to sink to this level of service."

"My wife and I had a reservation. We walk in and there is absolute chaos at the host stand, 4 staff members all in a gaggle with no rhyme or reason. We stood and waited to be acknowledged, one young woman finally noticed us after about 5 minutes. We were seated for 30 minutes without even having the pleasure of meeting our server. While every table around us grumbled about how slow and unprofessional it was for the amount of money they charge. We also observed that it was clearly not a staffing issue due to the abundance of servers sauntering around the bar area and and the other dining area. There were multiple servers who walked by and not a single person asked if we needed anything. We got up and left, we walked past at least 5 employees and none of them seemed too concerned. I would save yourself the headache and go to the BJ’s the light before."

"We had the campfire feast which comes with 1 appetizer, 2 entrees with each entree coming with 2 sides and to finish 1 dessert . My husband had the full rack of ribs with garden salad and fries. For my entree I had the fire grilled shrimp with loaded baked potato soup and rice pilaf. With the shrimp they serve this very flavorful butter to dip it in. Oue appetizer was jumbo shrimp cocktail. Our dessert was mile high mud pie. Everything we had was very flavorful. My husband's ribs were so tender they were falling off the bone. Our waitress, Kalos, was friendly, and checked on us several times.UPDATE JUNE 1ST went tonight to use a 30% off coupon, good deal. Our server Amber, was excellent, 2nd time we have had her, she checks back a lot, very friendly, will ask for her in the future. My husband had the ribs, I had the double lobster tails because the price was so low. UPDATE AUGUST 28TH we went for the campfire feast. We were disappointed on our appetizer choice..jumbo shrimp cocktail..the shrimp was not jumbo and they were limp, the same thing with my entree fire grilled shrimp, will get something else next time. The best part of my meal was my corn on the cob which I asked for instead of broccoli. My husband liked his ribs."

"Black Angus Steakhouse has great food and drinks. This particular location had good location to Old Town Temecula, enough parking and great service. Their have a variety of different appetizers, main courses and so on. Delicious food , had Ribye steak, it was perfectly cooked. The drink was prickly pear margarita with patron tequila you can now create your own margarita it was delicious. Service was fantastic, the waitress was super nice and friendly. Everything came pretty quick. Definitely one of the nicest Steakhouse chains. Would be definitely coming back."

"The food was good and prepared properly. There was some gristle in the steak. The asparagus was mushy and the ends were so hard you couldn’t cut them. The salads were very fresh and wonderful. We had reservations for 6. One was a child and one was an elderly person with a walker. They crammed us in a booth that would hold 4 comfortably. Didn’t offer us a table. Also the waiter forgot to bring 1/2 the table’s drinks (soda juice). Only brought one small loaf of bread and didn’t ask to bring another when gone (everyone did not even get a piece). Did appreciate being able to use our specials."

"My husband and I had lunch here for our 13 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't our first choice, and I had my heart set on a different place, but they were closed. We decided on Black Angus, and I absolutely do not regret that decision. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our lunch amazing. (They didn't know it was our anniversary either) the food was fresh, and the staff was amazing with refills on drinks and bread, to taking dirty dishes off the table. I wanted something that wasn't even on the menu, and our waiter made it happen. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone who wants a good meal, with friendly staff."

"The BA in Pleasant Hill was our preferred location it is now closed. The Vallejo location was the next closest so picked that one. The Pleasant Hill location was a classy place. Felt like I was eating at a nice steakhouse. The Vallejo location was like eating at an Applebee’s, which I could’ve gone to without paying a bridge toll. The food our server were good. Only complaint is all 3 of us ordered coffee each time we asked for a refill, they took our cups away to refill 1 time they forgot to bring it back. Also, had to keep asking for refills. It was never offered. Would have rather they brought a carafe to the table. Otherwise, everything was fine but will probably not return."

"Bugs... improperly cooked and spoiled food... noisy seating next to kitchen.Started off with multiple bugs on our table which I believe were falling From the ceiling... we had to crush and kill the bugs ourselves and while we offered to sit at another table it was literally the table next to it. The tall booths were filthy you wouldn’t let your head touch it so you’d have to lean forward a bit.One staff was sick and sneezing and coughing in the back because we never saw the sick staff come out it’s likely he was in the back cooking everyone’s food.First up was a salad ... it was nice and chilled and a decent dressing but the majority of the salad had turned. Another server overheard me and said that they’d eat the brown salad it’s only because it was fresh it was now that color... confused I just stopped eating the spoiled food and waited for the main course which I ordered the prime rib pound medium rare. Meats are supposed to be cooked to order so common sense and a set standard should be understood. As I said I ordered a medium rare cut of prime rib. I recieved an approximate thin cut prime rib that was so under cooked the sides were not even seared instead they were mostly removed and what remained was covered with a black grease and light seasoning which I assume is their dry rub which all could be removed by spreading it off the steak with a knife. Oh well I got a really rare steak not really a deal breaker but the taste was gamey and the meat had clearly been spoiled or mixed with meat that had spoiled. It was miserable and the staff clearly we bewildered when I asked if they could try cooking another because I clearly wasn’t going to get myself sick eating something spoiled. My server did a decent job it’s not her fault the food is awful however it was not ok to not get at least another steak that wasn’t spoiled and actually cooked to order. and no I didn’t eat the majority of the prime rib before complaining just"

"I had an excellent experience at the restaurant overall. The service was outstanding, with attentive waiting staff. However, I was disappointed with my ribeye steak, as it was quite fatty and not very flavorful. I chose not to complain about it, since it felt like a minor setback in an otherwise enjoyable meal. Everything else was fantastic! We particularly loved the Waggon Wheel sample, which arrived at our table promptly and was fresh alongside our cocktails. "They can make the perfect steaks and they’ve definitely perfected lobster tails. So mouthwateringly satisfying. We tried a new cauliflower appetizer..I could’ve been really happy just eating a couple plates of this and called it dinner. It was that good. The mushroom blue cheese sirloin steak was good and the cheese made it rich and heavy. Personally, I’ll order mushrooms on the side because the blue cheese was too heavy for me. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked medium well. Perfectly pink inside and soo tender. I chose the mud pie for a dessert and I’ll choose something else next time. They’ve changed this item and now doesn’t have much flavor. Overall, I was went away feeling happy with my meal and my service. I’ve never been disappointed here. I recommend dining here and will come back again."
