"The calf and pasta dishes are equally delightful, reminiscent of authentic Italian bread from Mulberry Street. The fried calamari is a fantastic starter—it's generous enough to share between two people. I also recommend trying the freshly made Sicilian pie (which is square for those not from New York); it's another personal favorite. I've never had a bad meal here. With cold beer on offer, this place is a great neighborhood spot for a cozy meal."

"This restaurant truly deserves high accolades. Every time I place an order here, I am consistently blown away. I've tried various dishes from their menu, and today I opted for their Steak and Cheese Hero. It was absolutely fantastic—bursting with incredible flavors—and I've never had a hero quite like it. The food is exceptional, and the customer service is outstanding. Jentana's goes above and beyond a 5-star rating and surpasses all my expectations. "This place stands out among pizza places be it Queens or Brooklyn, New York or Jersey. Steve is a well rounded, easy going, intellectual that knows his pizza and his customers very well. The pizza truly is one of a kind. With ingredients made in the back kitchen the flavor put fourth by this establishment is well crafted and excellent. BUT BEWARE ON WEEKENDS!! There is an overweight older lady with blonde hair who I can only assume is sadly related to the owner and was in need of job. She doesn't cook nor prepare any of the food but when she asks you what can I get you?Be prepared to give your answer in 2 sentences or less. Not only is this person a detriment to the establishment but an embarrassment to the wonderful pizza shop that Steve has worked so hard to create. I as well as other patrons have brought this to Steve's attention quite a few times but after a few aww mans and I can't believe she's doing that. That seems to be as far as it goes when it comes to dealing with her. The establishment may as well be condemmed on weekends because dealing with that awful women just makes you forget about the food, puts you in a bad mood, and worst of all makes you regret wanting pizza.......... Great pizza from Steves recipe but you've been warned! Had it not been for that terrible woman there on weekends I would most likely stop by more often and recommend this place to my friends and famiy."

"It took really long to get any kind of service. We had to ask for water. Our actual drinks came only when our food arrived there, although we just ordered Sangria and a soda. The worst thing is they don't let us share the bill. You said, regardless of the party, it's an invoice per table. My husband is on a business trip and so his part of the meal is to be paid on his business card. And they refused to do that. I even asked what if the people on the table are not related and the server said that this is for them to work, we only do one driving time. It was really uncomfortable and I don't think we'd return. Pizza was fine. Not bad. But the other things didn't make it worth it. We also went there from Canal and there was no great experience. If you try them, I'd suggest Uber or Lyft or drive myself."

"My friend and I made Rex our first stop on our first trip to Chicago. Had a Uber from the airport, baggage and everything because we had to know what it was about in the hype! We decided to do so very gladly. The family that leads the place is very friendly. I had read that the Momma will hand out samples while you wait to order; I thought there was no way she did. If so, that would be great. But who really has this level of hospitality today? Especially after the last two years and personally as someone working in the food and beverage industry, know how difficult things are and remain. This industry is a work of love; if you do not contradict, spend too much time in chains and not enough time to support local businesses. I am always grateful to support people who work hard every day to do what they love and share with others. I felt this. The son spoke to us for a while and was real and friendly. We shared a good laugh. He thanked us and asked for our picture. It is nice for me that even after being introduced on TV, he was still amazed and apparently honored that people literally get out of the plane and make it a point to support the business. Anyway, for dinner, we have pasta fazul soup, one side of the hot Giardiniera, a meatball Sub (one), and a grilled chicken caprese Panini (mine). I also have an additional page of the Pesto Mayo because the stuff was amazing. The goal was to share these things. I ate most soups, and I didn't really want to share my panini as it was delicious. Thank you for your hospitality as you were our first stage of the trip! I will send everything I can, and I wish the best for you and yours"

"The neighborhood mom and pop shop aesthetics from the outside draws you in as it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the surrounding businesses in the area, which is something I like. The inside look it 's cozy and the back of the counter looks cramped which makes it look busy, sadly once you enter the smell of cat litterbox and waste throws you out. I endured and continued, 2 slices of pepperoni and a can of Pepsi almost $10 bucks, no, thanks. The slices were small for the price and the Pepsi was a little above room temperature cold . The guy behind the counter was rude and got even ruder once I didn 't tip. Here 's a tip, you don 't sling an already over priced bill to get tips. Didn 't have to wait for the pizza that seemed to have been sitting on that display for quite a while to be reheated, which was the only 2nd good thing. Tables needed cleaning. Will not return. "The owner is rude, we are tourists with my children for the first time with them at an American kosher pizzeria and I wanted to give them the nice experience of eating abroad in the US but the owner approached very violently and yelled at them in a very bad to the boys that I don't knowcome very close to the counter, something that in any business does not do but in a way that almost hits the boys, I grabbed him and faced him screaming and almost gave him a good beating x rude, disgusting with salads a place very dirty and very low hygiene !!!!!!"

"The inside the building is the same as Giovanni's but I think the food is even better. I got a couple slices and some garlic bread. The slices are gigantic and delicious (New York style), and the garlic bread had real garlic. I'll definitely be stopping in again."

"Very glad to be able to share a family meal here once again after 2 years away and Covid restrictions. Our server Samantha was amazing and a real Southern sweetheart as she was very attentive, positive and showed genuine kindness to our grandchildren. "The bar might be closed because it's usually connected to a pizzeria, but I had an amazing experience when I walked in. There were two Spanish-speaking gentlemen sitting there, and the cook brought out some food that looked fantastic. I asked what they were having, which turned out to be Jalapeño Paprika Tostadas. They were out of this world! I wasn't even hungry when I arrived—I just wanted to play pool—but since the bar was closed, I decided to grab a bite first. I've eaten at Pasquale's many times and have always been impressed with the food, but let me tell you: you need to check out WAREN!"
