"Meh. Full disclosure, we were there on “Girls Night Out” in Somerville. Unplanned. The bar was busy but the restaurant was not. Our waiter did not know the menu which was not great as he told me a dish I was ordering was not spicy, and it was very spicy. Inedible for me. When asked “why didn’t you tell me so I could have switch it out?” I didn’t have the heart to tell him it was because he never came to check on us. In fairness, he took it off the bill which I appreciated. And yes we tipped on the full amount. Steak was grisly and not seasoned. Steak fries were bland. Hopefully this was just an off night. Many other choices in that hood."

"Similar to other recent posts, the head security guy at this venue is unprofessional and could use training in anger management and de-escalation procedures. He was walking behind me and put his hands on my back to push me out of the way, to which I pushed him back. He still did not remove his hands so I shrugged him off again. He then began yelling that I needed to leave the venue, claiming that I pushed him when he came up behind me and instigated it. He then stood way too close to me and kept yelling my face that I needed to leave and I kept calmly repeating that there is is no justification for me to leave, he shouldn't have touched me, and he can just walk away from me and there will be no problem here anymore. I refused to walk out and he left to go get a woman security guard. She came over an initially would not listen to me either, and said we don't need to discuss the incident we can just watch the tape (I would love to see that tape, by the way). I said please go ahead and watch it. The main security kept standing there yelling and trying to justify himself to my friends. After another minute or so, he let it go and everyone left. It was such a ridiculously unnecessary sequence of events.I will give a shout out to a different man security guard who was there, who reported to the guy that caused the issue and so was not in charge himself. He was a witness to what happened and kept apologizing to me saying that he wished he could do something and that he felt terribly this was happening. I really appreciated that. The other guy could learn a lesson from him."

"Really great service great drinks Vincent is an exceptional bar tender. I had the chicken Parm and linguini a few gin and tonics and a chocolate martini. The staff was attentive, professional and kind. The food was very good high quality. The salad was meager just lettuce and a tomato no cucumbers or anything thats my only negative note. The vibe is old school and friendly older music, mixed crowd. I will be back for sure. I really liked it. Great service, great food, thanks guys!Parking: Paid street parking I came around 6pm and there were a few spots nearby."

"When we just want to be comfy and have a nicely served meal, we think of Citrus Cafe. It is 'local ' and kind of unique in that they have a private dining room, a bustling breakfast and lunch crowd and a steady, if lighter dinner crowd and booths where you can feel cozy and actually hear one another better. This gives us a safety net when needing a quick go-to for dinner! Fun for a foursome on a date night. Not pretentious, but they 're serious about their food and their servers are typically warm, friendly, capable and most helpful! They even serve a classic liver and onions ...which is a fave of a dear friend who says Citrus Cafe 's liver is always primo! So, in short, this was another tasty and enjoyable dinner with a smiling and helpful server at our beckon call."

"they beat us with a $2 per person fee for the use open table!?1 we noticed after leaving, it cost our party of 6 $12 sitting in the restaurant. even worse, they've charged us the tax on the $12! we have reviewed the website and said nothing about this excessive fee, and nothing was mentioned on the menu or in the restaurant. Moreover, the service was not very slow, inconspicuous (not refilling water,) and not well trained. it is a small restaurant and yet the personal was not well trained. it also took an excessive time, almost 30 minutes to bring our food while the time of the table that arrived after us from 7 people ordered and served. After all, it was proper to eat. avocado toast was good, but the waffle sandwich had only a small egg, not two, and a small piece speck. 6 adult left thinking that it is not worth a revisit, and after looking at the bill and harmful $2 fee for the use of open table we agree to avoid its restaurant."

"I must confess that I am usually hesitant about cafes that only have "a few vegan options" since they tend to be underwhelming, but this restaurant exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the vegan tofu sandwich was. The tofu was seasoned perfectly and the bread was excellent. It also came with a delicious side salad of dark, leafy greens in a light dressing. They offered a variety of nondairy milk options. Although the vegan menu was limited, the quality was top-notch."

"tasty chicken black wrap that I also added tzatziki. very tasteful pieces of grilled, then slowly brewed chicken, covered with fresh vegetables. make sure they get serviettes. the owner who runs the theke is super nice and linguistic. add a dose soda for $1 and they can also get Fritten/rice/salad as a side."
