"This is the BEST and most CONSISTENT restaurant in San Mateo. My favorite dinner item is the scallops......YUM. The staff is always been polite and attentive. This time I came with the grandkids. We requested that their food be delivered ASAP. They had a magic wand and our wish was granted. It was the PERFECT meal and they met all our needs. Very friendly staff!"

"It was very busy, but the restaurant has a lot of seats, so I didn't have to wait long. The food seems to be made fresh. I ordered the Oaxaca Bowl and it was amazing. Good food, rice and beans were tasteful. The vegetables should not be overcooked. The free chips were warm and the salsa was lightly spicy. Be careful because it is easy to fill them. My waiter checked me regularly and the place was pretty clean. Compared to recent experience in similar restaurants, I am very impressed. A huge television hangs over the seats that show FIFA World Cup. The decor is beautiful and you have comfortable high-back stands. I will definitely be back!"

"a positive experience. my man had garnel, which were very good, and I had the brisket with senfsauce, which was absolutely phenomenal! melt in the mouth and the sose was so tasteful. one of the top dishes I've ever had. we also ordered the scallop appetizer, the scallops were well cooked, but a little small, but it had large pieces of booze and a large smokey apple sauce on the plate. service was a bit slow to start, we sat about 15-20 minutes without anyone coming to say hello or drinking order. also the free brot was cold and hard and lubricated by raw flour. some up and down, but I would wait much longer than 20 minutes to have this braut again!"

"Stone Creek was fabulous. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. Landis our server was a rock star. We had some amazing food. My husband had the gnochi. It was incredible. Also, Antonio who was a bar tender personally came over and suggested a bottle of wine instead of singles glasses due to Monday half priced bottles. Landis served us well. He made great recommendations. The environment was lovely. Overall, stone creek was lovely!"

"Although the food and our server were excellent my overall first impression of Mimmo’s is just okay. My mother in law wanted to come here for Mother’s Day so I went ahead and made a reservation. They didn’t advertise a limited menu for Mother’s Day so we were upset they didn’t have anything we actually wanted to order. We wanted the crab and artichoke dip to start and it wasn’t on the menu. We wanted the Chicken Toscana, my teenage nephew and niece had a hard time picking out meals because we also came to order pizzas which were not offered! My mother in law ordered the stuffed shrimp scampi and she said it came out cold after it took a long time for our food to come out. By the time her food was remade our table was done eating and she was the one we were celebrating!! Our reservation was at 2:30p and when we arrived no one was in the foyer to greet us. From there the server was great but the food service was slow. I understand it was Mother’s Day and expected to be busy but we waited so long for a limited pasta menu just to have one of our meals come out cold. At 2:30p it seemed like a Friday night would be more chaotic as it didnt seem too chaotic in the afternoon, just filled with people all waiting for food. It seemed as though they were ill prepared for Mother’s Day. I’m disappointed there wasn’t a manager that came around to greet tables. I’m also upset they didnt comp my MILs meal since she did t get to enjoy. I thought the food was good once it finally came out but I would just rather go to like a chain restaurant such as Texas Roadhouse or even Buca di Beppo they know how to pump out the food quick, provide service on busy holidays and it’s always consistent and good. I’m sorry mom and pop restaurant, we tried you for Mother’s Day and it just wasn’t a great 1st impression for me. I’d love to come back for a lunch on the patio with less pressure to please my mother in law! The drink I had was delicious and I’m still curious to try the pizza!"

"The menu at CRAVE is amazing, with something to please everyones pallet. The food is very good and is priced reasonably. I love that you have mixologists, and your drinks look so delicious, but I never order a drink there because the prices aren't listed and the one time I did order a drink, just the one drink was more expensive than my meal. We had a very difficult time having a conversation as there were a few tables next to us with patrons who were clearly drunk and not concerned about their noise level. There were also about 15 birthdays in the place that night, and every time the roman candle-esque sparkler was lit people lost their minds. My overall take away? I will definitely go back for the food, I will not likely ever order a mixologist prepared beverage, and will likely ask for patio seating if the weather allows to help with the noise level."

"velvet and rye is the ultimate date night experience. the ambiente is amazing, elegant and aesthetically appealing. lena is broken, it looks like 3 parts and velvety and is roggen where they want to be for a heel and clutch at night. our server was very attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the blackberry rose colonies, which refresh together with a glass prosecco. As for eating, I was not impressed by the menu outside the pizza and even with the pizza, we ordered the meatball and a pfeffersalbe, both were just okay. the garlic parmesan wings were so good. even if the selection of foods was not the best, based on the ambiente and service, I will recommend all couples for a cute date night out."

"What a happy surprise this was! First time to this small, quaint, comfortable neighborhood gem. We loved it! Both of us had fish...the special Grouper Piccata and the Grilled Salmon on the menu. Both were simply outstanding, cooked to perfection, lovely sauces and delicious pasta/risotto accompaniment. My husband said the grouper was one of the best meals he has ever had. The caesar salad was also excellent. There's an extensive cocktail and impressive wine list. We just loved this little easy place. Superb! Five stars!"

"I ordered a full sized Mexican roll and a spicy tuna roll. They both were very tasty. The spicy tuna roll wasn't fully cut through which is a little annoying when that happens. Came with soy sauces, wasabi, and ginger. 3 pairs of chopsticks wereincluded which was helpful as well. The rolling was well done of the sushi, and a great taste to each piece. I would recommendCrave Eden Prairie location and will be getting food from there again."

"The pastrami is delicious! However, there are times when they serve corned beef instead, and they don’t seem to realize the difference. Occasionally, they also get the bread wrong. The service is quick, but you often have to push your way to the front of the line, which turns ordering into a bit of a chaotic experience. "Food is consistently good. My only complaint is the timing. All items were not served together or reasonably close together. Otherwise I recommend Yum Berry highly. One additional note, If you want the sushi pizza (which is very popular, for obvious reasons once you've tried it) call and order it ahead as it takes 15 to 20 minutes until it is ready."

"In Orlando with my girlfriends family for her dad taking us to Disney, I was tasked with choosing the sushi dinner of the trip. For context, my girlfriends dad has been to Japan multiple times and has incredibly high standards for sushi and any Japanese cuisine. By the time we sat down, he was gushing over the authentic Japanese decor. We ordered the blue fin tasting, different rolls, the toro carpaccio, rock shrimp waygu appetizer among other items. He was blown away, as was our entire party, by the quality, freshness, taste display of every dish. Our entire party loved this meal and highly recommends this restaurant to anyone looking for top notch sushi. The best part is the overall value. Coming from NY, this same dinner would cost as much for lower quality. This place delivers. extra point for the impression it made with the girlfriend’s dad"

"The food is not authentic at all. I’m new to Chicago area and wanted to try some good Chinese cuisine and was told to check out Nicky’s. I ordered Bourbon Chicken and when I got it, it was submerged in sweet and sour sauce, I worked in food service all my life, I’m aware of vendors and different products) it was a pre made sauce. I didn’t complain; I said let me give them another shot, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH ORANGE CHICKEN. The restaurant has a strict no refund policy, just even exchange one time only, which is fine, I get it, people would take advantage of you. When I got the orange chicken it was submerged in the same sweet and sour sauce and the chicken was not fried at all and if it was fried it had no coating. The overall atmosphere and customer service was subpar but the dishes themselves aren’t anything close to authentic Chinese food. We couldn’t get anything else, not that I wanted to anyway but it was a waste of time and money."

"I stooped by here on a Wednesday night as this place used to be very popular years ago. Upon entering you get a fishy smell which I already did not like. I know this place serves sushi but the odor of fish is not really a good sign.We sat down and someone came to take my order after 5 min which was pretty decent. I got the chicken katsu with their soup, the fried dumpling appetizer and a combo fried rice. the food took some time to come out but it wasn't such a long time. upon receiving it I was disappointed with the taste of the food. the fried dumplings were the best out of everything ordered and the food was edible but the taste felt different than what I am used to at other locations. the chicken katsu was missing flavor in the crust/batter so it tasted a bit bland to me. the combo fried rice had an odd taste that I only enjoyed the shrimp on it and not the pork or chicken mixed into it."

"I had a reservation for 11:30 AM and arrived at 11:28 AM. I waited for someone to come to the desk for about five minutes. The hostess who greeted me was nice and friendly. My guest arrived shortly after and the hostess gave us the choice of where to sit. Our server came quickly and took our drink orders. The drinks were brought promptly and we placed our food order - calamari and French onion soup. We were served bread before the appetizers, which was warm and delicious. Unfortunately, the calamari was not up to its usual standard - it was lukewarm and chewy. Despite this, the overall food was delicious and I will give them another chance. The service from the hostess and server was excellent. However, the floor was slippery and needed mopping. I will definitely be back."

All you have to do is be competent and know what you want to order and not be a complete peanut brain. "Loved this restaurant. Great outdoor seating area. Superb food and service. The margaritas were phenomenal, the tacos outstanding, the salsa bar excellent, and the chicharonnes fabulous! We tried the swordfish, chicken al pastor, and filet mignon tacos. All were delicious. The salsa bar had 4 very different salsas, and all were excellent and very spicy! The Hot Sauce margarita was very spicy (level 2) and very good. Loved how spicy they make their dishes and drinks. Would highly recommend this restaurant."
