"Tried this for the first time today. After a long night and craving some tasty Indian food, we found out our usual place was closed. This is much closer and I am so glad we tried it! Here 's what we ordered: Chicken Curry $18.95 Medium $0.00 This one was a little disappointing in terms of portion size it was a lot of sauce and not much chicken. However the dish itself tasted great! Garlic Naan GN x 2 $8.00 Naan is fresh, garlicky and a smidge chewy but not in a bad way. Less fluffy, more stretchy, if that makes sense Mix Vegetable Curry Vegan $17.95 Spicy $0.25 Tasty, good portion, nice variety of veggies Baingan Bhurta vegan $17.95 Medium $0.00 This is an eggplant dish, and I loved it! I was looking for something similar to this stuffed eggplant dish I get and this was similar, and very very good. Comes with yogurt sauce on this side. Good size portion. Chicken Dum Biryani $16.95 Spicy $0.25 HEFTY!! Great for the price. The chicken is bone on, but that so it adds flavor. The spice is right for sure! I would say this is like Indian fried rice . Lots of flavor lots of stuff really really good. I chose the spiciest version and it 's the perfect amount of heat if you like spicy. A little too hot for him, but I really enjoyed it. Saag Aloo curry ALU $17.95 Medium $0.00 By far my favorite. Yes it 's green, but if you like spinach and potatoes, you 're gonna love it. Good portion here as well. Aloo Kale Tikki 3 Pcs $6.95 I wasn 't the biggest fan of these. They are sweet in flavor. My boyfriend really liked them. They 're little potato and kale patties with a type of chutney esque sauce on top. You get three to an order, which is a little up there. We did a take out order, and picked it up. Inside was nice and smelled great. You can sit down or take out, there are servers if you want to dine in. The owner who gave us our order was extremely personable and helpful! I think we found another great Indian spot! The only downside is that it 's more expensive than our usual place. It is also odd that they charge more for spice level, but we did like it a lot. I know that this type of cuisine takes an eternity to make, and there are a lot of ingredients but it is certainly up there price wise."

"As an Indian (ok, ABCD who has traveled extensively in India, I can say based on experience that my dishes at this neighborhood Indian restaurant were mostly authentic Indian food served with authentic Indian service. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that we all preferred the food to multiple neighborhood Indian places in Seattle. The curries were nicely spiced with visible crushed whole spices showing they were using fresh spices not taking shortcuts. Some Americans or British people might take exception to the fact that the curry dishes weren?t filled with whipping cream and butter grease, but let?s be clear that doesn?t happen in India so I took that as a positive not a negative. We orderered the veg kofta curry (nom nom , the lamb Punjabi curry (also nom nom , and a chicken tikka masala for my Bristish husband (also tasty and less ?fake tasting? than the usual garbage my husband likes . The naans (we ordered butter, paneer and spinach were tasty with a nice crisp on the outside and soft inside. The naan weren?t drowning in grease as often happens at a neighborhood joint, which means I could actually eat and enjoy them. The only low food point was the Kachumber salad, which I was expecting to be similar to a Raita/village salad. Instead it was more akin to a relish plate than an American salad with cucumbers, tomatoes and onions with a little chaat powder scattered on top. That said, I?ve had that kind of relish plate served as Kachumber salad (as well as something resembling a horiatiki salad in India so whatever. As to the service, like many restaurants they seem to be struggling to staff experienced folk and it was our waiters first day. ,with the current post-pandemic labor crisis it?s a little hard to ding them too hard for that. It did mean that logistically there were some challenges (like our waiter didn?t know if they had beer and if so, what types but they had a positive attitude and were helpful and we got what we needed. Also, they aren?t the frantically running around type. Which means that sometimes people would come in and it would take a minute for folks to realize they were there. But America is the only country where I feel like we expect our servers to be running around madly. When I have time for it, especially when dine in, I personally prefer the kind of time service provided In most other countries, including India, where everything is a little leisurely but not late, which is how I?d describe the service here. If you are short on time just factor that extra few mins in. The chef came out and checked on whether we enjoyed our food. She and her partner (husband? we?re all quite kind and trying to do their best to provide good service. They were all quite sweet to our young kids. If you can, I would suggest calling in an order as the online ordering system (or perhaps calling to confirm as seems based on reviews to have some glitches. "We have been to the Gaylord in Schaumburg before, so since we live in Chicago, we decided to give this location a try. The food here is excellent, but the service is quite lacking. I expected the restaurant to be more crowded on a Saturday night, but it was rather empty. The waiter couldn't get our drink orders right! Three of us ordered dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. I asked the waiter if they had blue cheese olives and he said they did. My husband ordered a gimlet on the rocks. The martinis not only came out not 'dirty' but there were no olives in any of them. The gimlet was served in a martini glass. When we asked for the blue cheese olives the waiter seemed quite old and we didn't want to confuse him by reordering our drinks dirty we were brought regular pimento olives. My husband's gimlet was served in a martini glass with no ice. So the waiter brought over a glass of ice and proceeded to attempt to pour gimlet from the martini glass into the glass of ice. We offered to help, but he refused and then spilled part of the drink on the table! The food was very good, but the service was slow. We were hoping that this would be our new 'go to' Indian restaurant since Jaipur closed, but we'll have to keep looking. The Gaylord in the suburbs is much better that the Chicago location when it comes to service, which is a main reason people go out rather than ordering in"
