"A very unassuming storefront, a hole-in-a-wall but man do they know how to serve up some of the most delicious Chinese food! Like many of you, I found this place by reading other Yelpers' review and decided to give it a shot. Yelpers, if you're like me, then we are picky with our food. We know good food when we see and taste it. Here I go...Service:I want to talk about the service because most Chinese restaurants are notorious for having bad service. This place is family-run. Dad is the chef and mom is the waitress. Mom is SUPER busy taking phone orders, packing food, taking dine-in orders, serving food and still remains patient. What really gets me though is that she cares about her customers and always offer to explain how their best dishes are different from other restaurants'. Her recommendations are mostly spot on also! She would always remind me to be careful not to tilt the bag because the sauce would spill. Though they're super busy, she'll always be honest and tell how long it'll take for the food to be ready.Food:While I can't say I've tried every dish here, I'll share my absolute favorites.1. Tea smoked duck 樟茶鴨 I love this dish and would order it every chance I get at any restaurant that serves it but what's different about this place is:A. The duck is served hot. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect! B. The portion is huge! Doesn't matter how hard I try, I always end up having a good amount of leftovers to take home.2. Hot Pepper Chicken 山城辣子雞 So yet another all time favorites of mine at any Chinese restaurant that serves it. Who doesn't like boneless, bite-size crispy fried chicken stirred fried with hot chili pepper? How is this place different?A. Their dishes are always made-to-order and served hot so the chicken is CRISPY! B. Again, the portion is huge! Leftovers to take home always!3. Chicken in Sichuan Chili Oil 口水雞 I'm so grateful for the owner/mom who strongly recommended it. You see, like all the dishes above, I've had this typical Sichuan dish at almost every restaurant that serves it. Not usually my family's favorite so naturally I was hesitant to venture it here. Boy am I glad to listen to the owner. She said the chicken is freshly slaughtered when they purchase it every morning so it's super fresh and they only use free range chicken so the meat has a good chew on it instead of your cage-grown soft and soggy texture. I ordered it once and was WOWED!!! Everything is perfect about this dish here! So the only downside unlike other dishes from this place is its serving size, it's so good but so small. Nonetheless it's worth every penny! These are my Top 3 go-to dishes I would always order every time. Order these and thank me later!Bon appétit!"
