"I decided to try this place out while working in Clinton. First, don’t let the condition of the place fool you. Yes it’s in an older building that could use some updates, but it is a clean restaurant which is what really matters. I tried the Fajita Quesadillas which was very good! The chips and salsa were not hitting on much. My only complaint would be pricing. A meal I have eating at multiple Mexican restaurants that have cost at the most $8, cost me $11 here. Other than the price, I don’t have anything really to complain about. The service was friendly and quick."

"Otra Vez Cantina was good! I went during lunch and it seemed like a popular lunch spot for local business employees. They have a good selection on the menu and they have a specialty in street tacos. They were good— not necessarily out of this world. If you are at the 16th Street Mall, it would be worth a stop in, but if you are going to Denver and looking for Mexican food, I would recommend La Loma over Otra Vez Cantina. Just my opinion! Still good food, though! Enjoy!"

"This was our first time stopping in since the expansion. It's so much more spacious now. The beer is still excellent, and the food was good. I had the Lavery Burger with beer cheese, it was good, but the beer cheese was an unnecessary pick on my part because the burger sauce is really good and the beer cheese sort of covered it up. The pizza was unavailable when I ordered, or I would have tried that. My husband ordered the roulette tacos, chefs choice. They were spicy pork tacos that he said were very good. Service at the bar was quick, and we didn't wait long for our food."

"I was pleasantly surprised by how well the smokey BBQ flavor came through at this restaurant. I ordered a bark silk sandwich and 6 smoked wings, both of which were very good. I would definitely try them again. The staff was very supportive and accommodating, especially for someone like me who is not a BBQ expert. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because the brisket was a bit dry, but overall it was still very good. - Is it safe to eat here?"

"I grew up in Evanston, about a mile from the original Gullivers on Howard st. It makes me a bit sad that the only remaining location is more “sports bar” than restaurant — thus, when we get pizza here, we always get delivery or pick it up. Delivery is usually pretty prompt, but sometimes the guys forget that a hot pan pizza can shift to one side if you don't keep it level. Still maintain that the Pan pizza here is one of the best in Chicagoland"

"I visited District Taco from out of town on 7/28 and was told the dining area was closed a full 40 minutes before closing time, only after I had placed my order and spent $73. When I brought it up, the staff said it was because they had already cleaned, and without any apology, begrudgingly allowed me to sit. I declined, feeling there was no genuine remorse. This was the first meal stop of our trip, and it was disappointing that we had to take our food to go instead of enjoying it fresh. It felt like we were unfairly judged, possibly because I had kids with me. Meanwhile, employees were eating outside food in the dining area. It was frustrating that paying customers were asked to take their meals to go, while staff did not follow the same rules. I will never return."

"I visited for the opening day lunch today and was really impressed. They did an excellent job of keeping the line moving and getting food out quickly, especially for their first day! The food was fantastic as well! I tried both the barbacoa and al pastor tacos, and they were full of flavor and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back!"

"Every time I come to this location, I’m very much disappointed! This was my second time trying out this location customer service today was very unsatisfying like the first visit. I ordered a chicken bowl a tortilla on the side. First of all my chicken wasn’t cooked properly (chicken was pink inside) I found a long piece of hair in my bowl. the worst part about it all… the manager (his name is Eddy Sales) of the entire store (well he told me he was) he wouldn’t let me get my tortilla on the side. He said I had to order an additional meal. I’ve been to several locations I’ve never been treated like this. the team members were far from being kind!"

"I've ordered from District Taco several times, both for pickup and through DoorDash, and I can't justify getting delivery from there anymore. Maybe things are different when you're dining in person, where you can see your food being prepared and address any missing items, but my remote orders almost always have something left out. In my most recent order of nachos, almost all the toppings were missing — cilantro, grilled veggies, extra queso, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo were all absent. For $25-30 on DoorDash, the portion was disappointingly small, and I still ended up having to make another dinner at home because it wasn't enough for a meal. I would recommend spending your DoorDash money at another restaurant."

"I love the breakfast tacos from here!! "This is a great spot for grabbing a drink and relaxing, playing pool, or watching a game late at night or anytime. The prices are good, the bartenders and patrons are cool, and I've never had any issues here. They also serve food like burgers, fries, and wings at reasonable prices. "I walked past District Taco and noticed their churros on the menu. I came back about 10 minutes later to buy some. I had a bit of trouble with the ordering machine, but a kind employee helped me out after I asked for assistance—thank you! I felt like I was standing there forever trying to complete my order. I expected the churros to be like the ones I used to get in California from authentic Mexican spots. These churros were good and served hot, but not quite as good as those from Cali. They were longer, just as tasty as District Taco’s usual offerings, and baked instead of fried. Thanks for satisfying my sweet tooth tonight!"
