"I ordered a kids meal for my granddaughter. She ordered chicken tenders and rice. When we got her meal he brought chicken and fries. I told him she ordered rice so he brought rice. Then when we paid we were told we had to pay for the rice even though it was thier mistake because they brought the wrong thing. Then the manager wanted to argue about it. I have never been so humiliated and was made to feel belittled. Their customer service sucks. And the waiter treated us bad too"

"We actually was headed to Chedders, but all the restaurants along this whole strip were long waits, so we kept driving, stumbled upon this little jewel tucked away in this little strip of shops. Soooo glad those chain restaurants were busy!!!! This was way better! Friendly staff, great drinks and our food was delicious!! Would definitely go back when in the area."

"I hadn't visited this restaurant in a couple of years, but I definitely won't make that mistake again. The queso is fantastic, and I really enjoyed the salsa as well. They have so many unique items on the menu, such as Philly steak tacos, Hawaiian burritos, and birria tacos, which my friend loved. I opted for the #22, which included a chili relleno, burrito, and taco. Each had its own distinct and delicious sauce on top! The taco was classic but really tasty—it hit the spot. I recommend adding sour cream. This is the best I've had in Mt. Juliet!"

"First impression when I got to this place was, should I bring my pepper spray? . Once going inside we had to pay a cover of $40 per person. I thought it was too much. The cover was to be paid only in cash but conveniently the owner has her own atm. After paying $80 for hubby and I we sat at our choice if table. The seats were very uncomfortable and really outdated. We asked for the menu and we noticed the food was not too expensive. We ordered the molcajete which had 5 burned shrimps, some overcooked fajitas meat and hard overcooked chicken. They brought us rice and beans and they were gross too. I only took a night if each thing to taste it but I did not continue eating it because it wasnt good. I ordered a margarita presidente and my hubby a Buchanan on the rocks. We didn 't enjoy that either because the margarita was all syrup and a little liquor and the Buchanan was served in a plastic cup with too much ice. I didn 't finish my margarita because again, it was gross. The table service was bad too. We had to look for the waitress to get water to remove the nasty taste of everything and when we finally got her attention she brought $3 bottled water. No cup, no ice, just the bottle. The only thing we enjoyed was the comedians. They were funny but I didn 't not like the fact that they pressure customers to tip them and buy them drinks. Very tacky if you ask me. The whole experience felt more like them trying to make the most money possible with out investing or giving something good in return. I will only go back if I know a good comedian goes but I will stop to eat and drink somewhere else."

"When I arrived, there were five staff members gathered at the front, but no one acknowledged me. As soon as another customer walked in, they greeted them immediately. One of the staff members noticed my expression and said something briefly before quickly walking away to seat the newcomers who arrived after me. This made me feel unwelcome. I've been to this restaurant on other occasions, but the food has always been basic and not as hot as it should be."

"so glad that we came to el monte, we are newbies to woodbury and have missed our good Mexican food (even if the drive to boro is not bad it is better to drive 5min) can not wait to go back and try more menu points. the chips are quite standard, beautiful and crispy, the salsa was delicious. the Chile toreados were my favorite. the shredded chicken tacos with rice and beans were so good that we added to our children zilantro and fresh wobble. my man enjoyed the carnitas very, they were filled with pork. I had a side of reis, side of drenched and diceed tomaten the bons were fantastic, the reis was tasteful. the house hot sauces were also great. some I hope to see in the future to increase the authenticity; Mexican aguas (horchata essentially rice milk, zimt and sugar, jamaika, that is hibiscus, water and sugar tamarindo -tamarind, water and sugar,) some more roads taco aromen such as barbacoa, pibil, birria? I know that they are likely to be matched to the contrary and could be added a monthly desirable but above Anyway...gib el monte an attempt to find a beautiful ethnic in the middle of a beautiful little town! oh, and they have a drive to boot!"

"The food was delicious. The hosts were kind and helpful at the beginning and end of our time in. The absolute problem I had here today was with our waiter. It took 10—15 minutes for him to approach our table for the first time, during a time frame that wasn't so busy given it was a Saturday. "The name was a bit confusing as we see La Ranchera in most places online but the receipt prints as El Maquey . Food/Taste/ ordered a Guadalajara (one chicken burrito and one chicken enchilada) and their special on the board of Fajitas Portobello. The chicken in the burrito was quite dry and the whole dish was flavored only by the red sauce. Their special was quite good though as the protein was flavorful and the cheese and portobello was absolutely delicious! quick service and to the point. There was a bit of a language difficulty though. Ambiance: n/a ordered food to go. The entry way of the restaurant was very crowded and there were quite a few times were customers bumped each other as they turned the corner. Value for price: 4/5 food quality differed quite heavily depending on the item. Would do fajita again, wouldn 't touch the chicken though!"
