"After being seated, we waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. Once we received our drinks, it took an additional 10 minutes for us to get our chips and salsa. We placed our food order, and it felt like an eternity before our meals arrived. When they finally did, the waiter brought me the wrong dish. As I tried to explain my actual order, he just walked away—he seemed rude, and he was a heavyset guy in shorts.
The meal itself was disappointing. The beans were dry, the chilaca was tiny and unappealing, and everything was overly salty. Overall, the food was just terrible. When we finally got tired of waiting and asked a lady cleaning the tables to let our waitress know we needed our bill, the waitress asked us how the food was, and I told her both the food and service were bad. Instead of addressing my concerns, she processed our payment and nearly threw the receipt at us before turning away. The receipt had a name that looked like "Cieanna," which I assume was our waitress’s name.
After this experience, I doubt we'll be back anytime soon. I usually leave at least a $10 tip, but not this time. We spent a little under two hours there, and this was the first time I've been this disappointed at LA Paloma in all the years they've been in business. Truly let down."
