"Met two family members for a casual lunch. Hadn 't seen them in awhile. Had a lovely time at R. J. Grunts. We all ordered burgers and loved them. Arrived about 45 minutes early. No problem. Got a booth in the window so we could enjoy seeing Lincoln Park across the street. Great waitress Sam. Grunts is small and can be very busy. This time it wasn 't. Crowd built slowly as lunch hour passed noon. Great time to go. Great service and great burgers!"

"Fish and chips were great. The kitchen has what it takes to deliver a crispy and perfectly cooked oversized fish filet and a good heap of fries. Slaw was nice but was lacking a punch. If you are in the afternoon hangry time, this is the place. Worth mentioning the efficient and friendly staff. Unexpectedly, the Guinness pour was not up to my standards but was close… head was not just above the rim."

"During our recent visit to the area, my husband and I enjoyed a quick dinner and some drinks. Padraig at the bar was incredibly attentive, and we had a lovely conversation with him that made our experience even better. The food was delicious; we started with the crab cake appetizer, and for our main courses, my husband had the brie and bacon sandwich while I opted for the fish tacos. Everything was amazing! "A wonderful pub close to Times Square with very fair prices, good food, and a wonderful atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but that is to be expected given the amount of people that were eating and drinking that day. Definitely worth the extra block or two walk to avoid horrendous lines usually found in the Times Square area."

"We (6 people), at happy hour on a wednesday without a reservation, were placed upstairs upon arrival. all we ordered were drinks and a snack of chips and dip. we were given the check with a 20% gratuity already added to our total… It was unbeknownst to us so we added a 20% tip on and didn’t realize till after getting the receipt back that we had tipped a total of 40%… suuuuuper sneaky if you ask me. beware of that when coming here just so the same thing doesn’t happen to you. we had a nice time but this left a little bit of a sour taste."

"A perfect location for our show at the NY City Center-We were greeted by a friendly host who checked in to make sure everything was good. Waiter was attentive. We ordered the classic dishes: fish chips and Shepard's Pie. Very good and the portions were large. Overall a great experience and would definitely return."
