If you happen to have an off day dont dismiss them. "Hibachi lunch was excellent prepared by chef. Scallops oh so tiny but pack a powerful flavor. Salmon was delicious. Honestly thought would be dry (fish, ya know) BUT it was cooked perfectly! Others had steak, chicken, pasta, rice all said was excellent. I only missed my second part of the double-portion vegetable I ordered (instead of rice or pasta) and no treat (dessert) at end of meal. I did try telling chef veggies but its hard to hear over the fan I suppose. Waiter was perfect. He wrote everything down as it did appear on my ticket. Appreciated the waiter's description of some of the menu and also ability to pay cash and get a paper receipt!"

"This is one of our favorite places for sushi in the area. We love to come here and sit at the bar because the owner and the other chefs are very friendly and like to talk to us when we sit there. It is fun for the children and us as well as able to ask questions while preparing our delicious food! The Tony Tiger role was our way to, but yesterday we had the Sloppy Lady role and we are in love with this role!! It is a delicious role with spicy tuna with crunchy in soy paper and I cannot remember what else, but it was great!! My son got the sushi ball and it was a deep fried role that we all loved!!"

"Need reservations! Got take out. While food was above average, the quantity was basically a half portion, and I'm not a big eater at all, so for me to say that, you know portions were petite! And my two friends had a chicken entree, which both thought was my vegetarian dinner as there were possibly two bites of chicken in each of their entire expensive entrees. Crowded entre area. "First impression is the last impression. This place was highly recommended but without even tasting the food, I say, I’ll never go to this restaurant. The hostess at this restaurant is NOT honest at all. When I get there to pick up my order she told me to wait 10 minutes. After waiting for 20 minutes, I pointed to her that it’s been 20 minutes, she went inside and told me 20 more minutes. I checked again after waiting for another 20 minutes. She just said soon. Well, I waited all together 50 minutes and asked her to cancel the order."

"the meat was great which is why we went. no complaints. the service was great. the salad bar left much to be desired, although who's going here for the salad bar. and price is a bit high you go with 8 adults and its a $800 dinner $95 per adult . And dessert is not included, so that and drinks will bump up the price too. Note that for kids its 50% of the adult price, which isnt listed on their menu. If you are going for the meat and service though, its great"

"My husband and I have been to Sato before twice and have loved the food and experience. This time we took a few friends with us and the food was still amazing but the service was very slow. The waiter never came to to table to ask if we needed more water or anything. Then we waited 20 minutes for the bill. There was a couple that even sat next to our table, the waiter never even came to grab their drink order so they left."

"My wife and I ordered via door dash since we are staying the night at a hotel as we pass through. I fee like the food would have been much better if we were there. We ordered a mid tempura appetizer, 5 sushi rolls and a chicken katsu curry. The shrimp tempura in the appetizer and the roll were both under cooked. The shrimp was still translucent. Needed 2 more minutes frying. The veggies for the tempura were okay a sliver of sweet potato, one piece of broccoli and about 5 onion petals. My last curry was good. I got more chicken than I though I would. The curry sauce had a bit of spice to it but was oily and very thin. I was also surprised that it wasn’t served with katsu sauce. The sushi was okay but they only gave us 3 packs of soy sauce for 5 rolls plus tempura. So if you wanna give this place a try go eat there and don’t get it delivered."

"Took my wife her for her birthday since she requested Asian cuisine for her birthday dinner. We’ve been to a number of Asian/Asian fusion cuisine restaurants and all of them have been amazing, so this was our first time here so we were looking forward to it. The environment and ambiance is nice and sets the mood but the loud noise from the staff and other customers was louder for a moderate size place. Saw a lot of staff diddle-daddling giving sub par hospitality service. The hostess who sat us made a big deal about us being a few minutes late for the reservation but told us they still have our table. I didn’t needed that run around explanation, just tell me if I have to wait cuz I’m late for my reservation or what not. Plus they had plenty of tables open so it was barely busy. The cocktail drinks were anything but typical. We were expecting something new and refreshing but the Asian mojito and sake yule were made like a typical bar drink from sports bar. I was not impressed nor was my wife. The food was pretty decent. The sushi rolls was good and the nippon burger was not bad at all, something different from your typical burger. The service was really sub par and disappointing since it’s a restaurant. In typical Miami attitude fashion, the waiters didn’t really pay attention to the customer and just came in to take your plate when you’re done. Not really asking if everything was ok or did we need anything. I’ve seen better service in Chili’s and Kendall ale house compared to what we experienced tonight. If you’re a typical Miami resident who is all about style and appearance and don’t care about how great the food or arrive is, then come here. Otherwise I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone nor would I try again."

"I have to say, Sumo Sushi is my absolute FAVORITE sushi place I've ever been to. I tried a bunch of different sushi places in Philly, some in New York, some in other states, but Sumo Sushi is still my favorite. I ate here often when I lived in Philly and I miss it so much now that I'm far away! I think of this place, the food, and the employees often... Such amazingly delicious sushi, they have good prices, and the people who work here are SO NICE!! I miss it so much and I try to go every time I visit Philly. "Enjoyed the food much more than ichibans which is saying something bc I love ichibans. The food was honestly perfection. I had the hibatchi LSU special which included filet mignon, lobster, shrimp and all the sides. The only thing I didn't enjoy much was the crab stick tempura. That is the only thing I feel is better at ichibans. My 3 year old was completely entertained by the chef. Completely loved it!"

"I’ve had Asahi twice now, both takeout. When I first ordered, I was skeptical because the prices seemed too low for sushi, so my expectations were not high. Boy was I wrong.
