"This is my go to sushi spot in the inner sunset. The interior is quaint and simple. There is only one sushi chef and one waitress. During popular hours (weekend dinners), if you show up at 7:30/8:00pm and there is an empty table that needs to be turned over/cleaned, she may kindly turn you away simply because they are busy and perpetually short on staff, which may sound like a bad thing, but I find it to be quite charming (feeling of a mom and pop restaurant). In terms of the sushi, the fish is super fresh. Rolls are more traditional and simple (not covered in an assortment of overwhelming sauces). My favorite rolls are the hamachi dragon, the spicy hamachi tataki, and negihama. The agedashi tofu is also delicious. It is lightly fried and does not taste like oil. The sauce is light and refreshing (pairs very nicely)."
