"I visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday, June 3, 2017 along with my brother and his wife, and a close friend. We were there to thank our friend for her exceptional kindness during a difficult family time. My brother and sister-in-law had visited Scopa many times and had really enjoyed the food and experience. Sadly, our experience went from one disappointment to another. Among a long list of shortcomings, our waiter had nothing positive to say about the food--"doesn't look that good", "wouldn't recommend it", "yeah, I guess you can can get a bottle of Prosecco", etc. etc.. He managed to overflow the Prosecco as he was pouring it and never returned to clean up. The wine was warm, and my brother's beer arrived sometime later. Then we were asked to stand so that our table could be moved to accommodate a party of 12 who ended up sitting outdoors. As to the food, I ordered the seafood risotto and it was tasteless, gluey and the scallops were small enough to be indistinguishable. The other entrees were OK, but no one was raving about the food. The waiter wandered by a couple of times and managed to deliver two glasses of wine but, again, the second beer was delivered after the main courses were finished. In short, Scopa was a great disappointment from the service to the food. It may have been a good neighbourhood restaurant at one time, but it does not come close anymore. We will not return."
