"Try to get best prices in late August. This hotel, though it's far away from cheap, is a very good spot to explore Midtown Manhattan. It's superior location next to Times Square is best for all first time NYC visitors. But also good for more advanced NYC tourists. The hotel is also located next to the most important subway and bus lines, so it's quite easy to get around in Manhattan. Central Park is also just a few blocks away. Rooms are well maintained. Cleaning staff is super calm. So a sleep in is easily doable. I know, most of you guys are in NYC for the very first time and you say, what a sleep in in NYC. But believe me. When you are on your feet all night long to breath the night in the city, you have to have a rest in the next morning. Currently, the hotel offers breakfast included in your booking. This kind of basic breakfast option comes with tea, coffee, croissants, bagels, cream cheese, lots of jam and chocolate schmear and cereals. No cheese or sausages. During breakfast, they also offer stuff from their menu but beware. Thats the premium breakfast option. If you order such stuff, you gotta pay for it. I would not recommend doing so. Instead, head for a classic bagel shop in NYC cause thats one of the things this city is famous for. The only downside is that the rooftop terrace is actually not part of the hotel. It's a separate club. We haven't been there because we didn't want to wait on the elevator and our touristy outfits also didn't perfectly match the dress code other rooftop visitors were bragging with. If it would have been for hotel guests, I guess, we would have felt much more comfy to go up there. Be also patient with the elevators. The card reading terminals do not always work fine. Can be overwhelming trying it for the first time. Stay cool. All of the other guests encountered the same issues. You will surely not be alone. Hotel staff is friendly. I asked for a later check out because I had to do an important call to make. Unfortunately, they couldn't make it because they had lots of reservations but they were willing to let me check out later. Even introverts will feel comfy with the hotel staff."

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."
