"This is a great venue situated in one of the busiest areas of Brooklyn. Drive slowly, or you might miss the entrance, as all you see at first is a black wrought iron fence that gives the impression of an empty lot. However, if you look a bit further, you'll spot a large sign for Giando on the side of the building. Only valet parking is available, and once you enter through some unassuming glass doors, you are greeted by a beautifully decorated lobby. Here, the staff will inquire about your party and guide you either upstairs or to the main room, and there is also a party room located downstairs.
I attended a small wedding reception set up in the back area of the main dining room. The view of the Brooklyn Bridge, the sunset, and the downtown skyline was stunning. The room was filled with wedding guests on one side and diners with reservations on the other, but the noise level never became disruptive for our gathering.
The meal consisted of typical Italian catering fare: a deliciously dressed salad, penne alla vodka pasta, and your choice of steak, chicken marsala, or salmon francaise. For dessert, they served wedding cake, coffee or espresso, and a delightful scoop of vanilla ice cream, which I quickly turned into an affogato. The servers were attentive and always present. Overall, I would definitely consider hosting an event here!"
