"This area of the city doesn't have much to offer, in my opinion. The character of Goodall's in a historic venue the shrimp grits I saw on the menu (although it was not on the menu when we got there) is the reason I landed on Goodall's for our lunch choice. It was a bit confusing, it isn't set like your typical restaurant dining room, be it in a hotel or otherwise. The service was excellent! The food was also great. A nice sized chicken breast in a sandwich without being dry; a brioche bun (why don't more places adopt this as standard); and my mushroom omlette decided to be adventurous and went beyond simple white or portobello shrooms! I will say the bill was a bit high for a Tuesday brunch and no one, regardless of setting should charge $4 for a cup of drip coffee."
