"The clientele here tends to be younger and a bit more lively than the previous patrons of Bezu, but the quality of the food makes this a worthwhile visit. As I mentioned earlier, I did go for lunch—well, technically brunch, since it was a Sunday. I was the only customer in the restaurant from the moment I sat down until I left. I was there solo with my iPad, hoping to catch up on the Sunday papers. Unfortunately, the atmosphere didn’t help; the background music, both in terms of volume and selection, was distracting rather than enhancing the experience. The playlist included many songs that used to be hits in large restaurants, making it feel a bit dated.
Coupled with the presence of several large-screen TVs, the loud music created an overwhelming barrage of unwanted noise. Having a conversation was tough, and quiet reading was simply out of the question. Nonetheless, a restaurant—whether it's a bar or a grill—is ultimately about the food (and I suppose the drinks), and in that regard, Potomac still earns high marks."
