"As much as I was looking forward to visiting this barbecue Restaurant after doing my research and reading previous positive reviews, I'm sad to say I am very disappointed with my short, yet eye opening experience. It was dinner time, my husband and I walked in at 7PM the restaurant closes at 9:30. The hostess at the front took a look at us without greeting us, she turned around to the person behind the bar and asked the woman a question that I couldn’t hear. The woman looked at us and said sorry we are not sitting anyone or serving anyone at this time. My husband and I looked confused because there was still a good amount of time before they closed and the bar was being serviced as well as the restaurant. I’m Puerto Rican and my husband is African American. We took a good look at the crowd in the room and they were all Caucasian. We politely tried to understand the women. She said she doesn’t have enough staff to serve us, but as we walked out, she took a family of 5 inside (that’s were Caucasian) which confused us even more. She couldn’t serve us but happily took them in. Hudson is a gorgeous place, that is very open to different types of people from different backgrounds/preferences. This is why I enjoy coming here but this establishment needs to do better. I’m very surprised and still, confused. American Glory can adjust their hours if they can’t accommodate ppl due to short staff so it can avoid us feeling like we were discriminated against, honestly."

"After reading the reviews, we came here after an ophthalmologist appointment. We got immediately seated after checking in. The restaurant is small, but roomy, with the dining area being in a separate room. The dining room consists of neutral colors like white, black, and brown. There are tables meant for large groups as well as tables that are meant for 4-5 people. Two paintings hang by the corner, with one of them sitting on a small counter and the other hanging on a wall. Hubs ordered the Latin Style Benedict, which is spinach with over easy eggs, bacon, avocado, huancaina sauce on toasted English muffin served with a side of home fries. He said that he was okay with it and didn 't realize there was bacon because he didn 't read it fully. It was okay but he said that he would order something else next time. Next, daughter ordered Fully Loaded Huevos Rancheros, which is topped with black beans, pull pork, avocado, crumble queso fresco and cream on corn tortillas. She said that she liked it and thought it was really good. However, she felt that she 's had better elsewhere. Lastly, I ordered Chilaquiles Verdes, which is tortilla chips bathed in roasted salsa verde, topped with 2 over easy eggs, crumbled queso fresco with sliced onion and Mexican crema. I expected the tortillas to be freshly fried but it tasted like store bought tortilla chips. I was disappointed in my entree. Overall, we all thought the place was ok. Service was friendly and quick. Will probably go to other restaurants in the area when in the neighborhood."

"On the plus side: the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the portion sizes were generous—enough to easily serve two people with a single meal. They also offered reasonable prices. However, I believe improving the quality while adjusting the prices and portion sizes would be a wise move. Now, let’s talk about the brisket. The smoke flavor was unfortunately lacking. I even tried to catch a whiff of that beloved mesquite and hickory aroma as I approached, but it was nowhere to be found—there wasn’t even a hint of post oak. Perhaps they smoke the meat off-site, and if that's the case, they should definitely step up their wood game! Next, the brisket had no bark, and it was missing the signature flavors of black pepper and salt. I observed a whole packer cut at the carving table, and it wasn’t properly trimmed and shaped before smoking. A little attention to aerodynamics could go a long way here. I requested moist brisket at the register, but maybe that was a miscommunication. In the world of BBQ, "moist" usually refers to the point, not the flat. Unfortunately, I was served all flat. While that might have been acceptable, it was clear the cut was USDA Choice, which makes it cost-effective but sacrifices fat content. The meat was overcooked as well—it should pull apart easily rather than fall apart. It also should be flavorful enough to stand on its own without sauce. As for the sides, the potato salad was great—I'd give it an 8 out of 10. The coleslaw wasn’t worth a second bite, and the cornbread was hard enough to break windows if thrown. The sweet tea was pleasantly balanced, not overly sweet, and the sauce was decent, though nothing particularly memorable."
