"The service at this restaurant is outstanding, and the food is both expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I initially wanted to order the grilled pork chop, but the special of the day was the smoked pork shank. After the waitress spoke so highly of it, I couldn't resist trying it, and it certainly lived up to its praise; the flavor was rich right down to the bone. The French onion soup, which is a personal favorite, was incredibly indulgent. For dessert, I opted for a snickerdoodle cookie, which was slightly undercooked and had the delightful consistency of warm cookie dough, perfectly complemented by vanilla ice cream. Walla Walla has many dining options, but this restaurant truly stands out as one of the best fine dining experiences around."

"Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good and hot . Ordered that huge German Pancake. It's basically a flat crepe. Had crepes that big in Alaska. Fresh fruit was tasty. My daughter is gluten free. She got an omelette with hash brown. Problem with a restaurant that does not do a gluten free menu is they really are.not educated on gluten allergies. So many foods can be laced with flour. Shredded cheese, non caking ingredients, hollandaise sauce, even some prepared eggs. IHOP puts pancake batter in their egg omelette. Brags about how it makes the eggs more solid. Anyway. Shortly after getting home she didn't feel well. Stayed in bed. Had a nasty headache, nausea. If you want gluten free this is probably not your go to place. Place was jam packed. Handicap friendly. Restaurant, bathroom, parking. Fireplace was a nice touch. Warmed me up from the rain. Pictures on the wall were nice. I wish I could go back and try that fresh crab omelette."

Built on the foundation of Walt Elmer’s famous buttermilk pancakes, the original recipe for pancake batter was purchased for $1,000 and rumor has it that Walt kept it locked in his safe. "I was a Line Cook at this restaurant in the 80's We had good folks lined up 3 to 5 blocks coming to have Sunday Brunch I was the Egg cook and I worked with Mr Bob Elmer Great Job until the dishwashers had a water fight late one night and I had the big pan of hot cracklins and grease to empty out back and clean the deep fat fryer as we did every night I had some blisters on my face from the little bit of oil that splattered on me. I threw the pan as far as I could before I landed on my tailbone It's all good though It ended my cooking career Bonnie Lee Parker Loved my job Loved the people I worked with"

"We had a family brunch yesterday with a group of ten: four little kids, a teenager, and five adults. The food was delicious, as always, and it’s really important to call ahead for larger parties. They were busy but ready to accommodate us in all our chaotic glory! The drinks were spot on, and the service was prompt, accurate, and friendly. Our waitress—though I can’t recall her name—was fantastic! She had beautifully styled, dark auburn hair that was curly and just above shoulder length, standing around 5’2”. The service industry can be overwhelming at times, but she handled everything brilliantly and was wonderful with my kids! I love Elmer’s and will always cherish our experiences there. Excellent job all around!"
