"After being seated, we were served water, and our waitress, who was also the bartender, mixed us two smoking Mai Tais. Each drink cost $40, yet they didn't have all the ingredients, so they just threw some stuff into the glass and said that was all they could do. We ordered food, which included a $25 hamburger and $5 extra for frozen onion rings—a very small portion at that. The food was subpar.
We were the only customers there, and they brought out one plate followed by the rest of our meals 20 minutes later. Most of us couldn't even finish our food. We also never received refills on our drinks. Meanwhile, as more people came in, they were told that without a reservation, they'd face a 1.5-hour wait, which caused many to leave.
We wanted to order the Kong ice cream with fireworks for my son's birthday, but they informed us that city regulations prohibited the use of fireworks, so that was another disappointment.
When the bill arrived, they imposed a mandatory 20% gratuity, regardless of the party size. The waitress explained that 3% goes towards the restaurant's supplies, while the remaining 17% is distributed across the kitchen staff, meaning she wouldn't see the entire tip. She suggested we leave an additional tip just for her.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The experience was disappointing, the food was terrible, and it's not a suitable place to celebrate a birthday. You won't find the experiences advertised online here."
