"Food was good. Michigan salad was huge and enough for us to share with extra to go. Server seemed to be in s hurry, wanting to take order before entire party arrived then when last person arrived, back to take order before she looked at menu. Not that busy to be so rushed to get us in and out of the restaurant. No one waiting for our table on a Thursday night. Will return again. Would recommend."

"I 'm staying at the Best Western right across from the establishment, so I decided to try the food. I called in to place my order because I 'm just not feeling peoplely . To my total and utter shock I waited on hold for 23 minutes, so I walked over. First checking to see what could possibly be the hold up. there was about five tables and an almost full bar, I did see a sign stating they had a company party. A female bartend said I 'll be right with you and continued her conversation then walked down the bar. I asked a young man who was holding up the wall for the manager he promptly got him. I showed the manager that I called to place a to go order and I was then told the soup was shut down and I responded, I would know if I wasn 't left on hold. The manager nice and understanding said if we still have some I will be right out with it. Took him about 2 minutes and he was right out, I tried to pay but he gave it to me on the house. THE CREAM OF CRAB SOUP IS A HIT, gonna have to grab a bowl before checking out. Even though the hold was long I 'd give them a second chance. Parking: Had plenty of parking."

"I have always been a believer that in order to find a great prime rib, you have to be willing to try a place of the beaten path. North End Steakhouse (NESH) is that place. I have visited this establishment several times since moving to Newport, and am happy to see that it has ended up on Open Table, although I hope the crowds stay small. The menu is diverse, the specials are extraordinary, and the prime rib is the best around. There are no other places in the area that you will find or oz. cuts of quality meat for the price at NESH. Their Surf N' Turf, or Turf N' Turf lobsters) are the best deals by far. This all being said, I have not wandered far from the larger cuts of Prime Rib, sirloin, or the Surf/Turf combos."

"A wonderful experience the team was great very welcoming and warm. Atmosphere was great. Comfortable seating, sedately ambient and inviting The meal topped everything else off ! It was well presented and a wonderfully prepared cuisine. Very nice, manageable selection. Portions were perfect. The wine list doesn't have enough Finger Lake wine varieties on it, though, and although we drink dry wines, noted there were no sweet selections. A little pricey, but as a special experience, certainly worth it. Worth the trip for sure !"

"So this use to be a favorite for soup and food! NOT ANYMORE we specifically asked for no tomato?s on my chicken Caesar wrap it was covered with them and black olives yuck ? . I served before and was a hostess so not to make sure you would want these on a wrap how unusual and yet to blame us as patrons.We call a first then a second time after noticing the fries were so soggy for both orders and just inedible food! So nowhere would you think to not ask for black olives on a Caesar chicken wrap as she blamed me and onions on the wrap when it?s not on the menu and that is something a lot of people think is gross (black olives) and or would ask about if I wanted the black olives on the wrap ! She lied about the whole situation! After we received the food we called back and they said a manager would call us back because we didn?t feel like driving back! After we decide that both of our fries were soggy as well and my wrap was messed up didn?t want tomatoes on it especially black olives! Not to mention she forgot the ranch we asked for!!! Don?t care if she charged us for it or not! My boyfriend comes in to pick up the food that they remade for the second time and the manager and hostess are screaming at each other very unprofessional and yet thought the manager wasn?t there hmmm& whoever took the order should be nice and as well as the manager she?s the one who made the mistake and not lie! it?s not unreasonable to be upset to not want to eat something you don?t want or like! It?s Christmas time and I don?t want to waste money on food that I did not want to eat nor felt like driving back for! Thanks the next batch was good (not) it still had tomato?s in it!!! that I did not want! and two extra dressings! I called back and she swore there was no tomato?s then how do you explain these pictures WTH all in it hope someone calls me back when I spend my hard earned money and get disrespected because I?m unhappy with the food and it?s reasonable why I am as was sworn none were mixed in now what if I had a allergy I don?t but wow I just wanted my order right. Never ever again hope I ever get a refund on my wrap that is currently in the trash if they want the pictures ! Was about to finally dig in and eat it with my finally extra dressing until I see tomato?s!since a refund is so hard?! Why would I lie and still never got a call back nor refund so never again!"

"First time there will not be back. We were the only ones there and did took forever. The bill came and I was Overcharged by 6.50 so I questioned it. Waitress was gone over give minutes and brought back the correct total. Handed it to me the on a hand written receipt. I gave my credit card and after it was ran was told total was higher because I paid with card and the price she wrote was a cash price. What??? I asked where it says that and she replies if I gave you a register receipt it would have said that but I had to hand write it. I responded and said you should have told me that then and I would have paid cash. Seems to me they were just trying to make extra money with the hand written bill and wrong amounts!! Will never go back. Update: owner responded. Did not understand my issue. First handwritten check was $6.50 Overcharged. That was corrected and the new bill was$24.and change. Second check was correct but was not informed that if I pay cash it would be less so I was charged a higher price $25. . when I questioned the waitress she responded by saying since it was handwritten, It did not tell me cash would be cheaper only ones printed from the register. I said she should have mentioned that when taking my card and I would have paid cash. No other restaurant I have been two charges two different prices. I understand very well about cc fees but was never informed of the price difference before paying. If I was, I would have paid cash! "DeMo's has the best meatball sub in Raleigh—I've searched high and low! The service was excellent. I requested extra cheese and marinara, and they got my order absolutely right on the first try. On top of that, the manager took the time to recommend the best nearby parking options to help us avoid the tough parking situation on Glenwood Avenue. They even validate parking in the nearby garage. Honestly, what's not to love about DeMo's?"

"Love the atmosphere. Have had drinks on the patio during the day and the view is amazing. At night the view is sparkling and festive. I had the Chilean sea bass for a main course and it was fresh and delicious. We choose 6 offerings on our charcuterie board , it looked great and tasted good. The wine list is simple and could be expanded. I would go back and recommend highly."

"It is my sincerest hope that the Management will read this review: For many decades Danny's has been a destination for many of our entire family events, and terrific dinners! The Fabulous salad bar was always included with every dinner. Sadly the other day when we stopped by we were disappointed to find that there was a $4.99 additional charge for the salad bar. This wonderful restaurant that is always bustling with customers, was noticeably much, much quieter! Sometimes things that look good on paper, really don't work in real life! We all know that in this current day and age, the cost of doing business is rising. However, please find another way to gently offset these costs without losing so many lifelong customers! If you do decide to remove the additional fee for the salad bar, please notify me so that I may make the necessary corrections to this review. It is my sincere desire for Danny's to be a continued success!"

"I initially posted a rating only without a written review and was shocked to see this reply directly from the restaurant : “I appreciate the review but hiding and not saying what happened means nothing.” In response to that extremely rude and unprofessional message, I’m editing my review to add comments. I gave 2 stars overall because it was just not good value for the high price. Check was $120 for 2 people with one drink each. Only one person was working doing everything host, server, bar. He was very nice and did his best. But as a result service was slow, and when I first got there it looked like maybe they weren’t open. Love being able to sit on the water. But the chairs were uncomfortable and the table umbrella was broken. Food was so so. Mostly it just felt so expensive for a subpar experience."
