"I witnessed a troubling incident at this restaurant that raised serious concerns about their treatment of disabled individuals. A customer with a foot and ankle injury was denied service after placing a mobile order, having previously asked the staff if it was acceptable so they wouldn’t have to stand in line. This seemed like a reasonable request. Despite being told it was fine, the staff later refused to acknowledge the customer and denied them service altogether.
After this encounter, I noticed that the restaurant updated their online ordering policies to state that mobile orders cannot be consumed on the premises, a change I confirmed wasn't there before the incident. It was particularly disheartening because there were plenty of empty tables available, and the customer had verified their understanding with the staff beforehand.
The individuals involved appeared confused and were trying to get the attention of the staff member they initially spoke to. Instead of resolving the situation quietly, multiple staff members were dispatched to loudly confront the customer, which culminated in them leaving in tears. It was a confusing and shameful scene to witness.
I reached out to the management to express my concerns about the incident, but I never received a response. Given this experience, I cannot support this restaurant chain."
