"This was my first time to Via Carota, so I was excited because I?ve heard great things. And it lived up to the hype! Didn?t have a reservation, so put our name down for bar seating on a Thursday at 7:30 pm. Had a drink while we waited and only had timefor one martini before our spot was ready. The cocktails were amazing! My favorite was the 1397 Negroni. The food was great!Roasted carrots were loaded with pistachios. They weren?t really warm, but I?m guessing that?s how they?re meant to be servedsince they?re served with a creamy yoghurt base. The roasted artichokes were just ok, probably my least favorite thing that wetried. The grilled octopus was delicious, perfectly charred and came with an olive tapenade that was tasty. The pasta (cacio epepe) was really flavorful and rich. But my favorite thing of the night, hands down, was the hand chopped steak. It was superdelicious, perfectly seasoned, seared and crispy on the outside and rare on the inside. It was soooo good! I could literally eatone of those every day. So simple, but done perfectly. Will definitely be returning!"
