"I haven't been to an Indian Buffet since way before the pandemic, so now that this buffet is open, here we go. First off, wow, the price sure has gone up! It's $15 for the lunch buffet now! I never paid that much, but I guess prices are up all over. The big Chinese buffet in town is $14, so I guess that's the price of buffets now. Parking is open but a little weird, but just park on the empty lot and cross the curb to the door. The place looks better on the inside than on the outside for sure. Plenty of open seating inside. I was surprised how small the buffet was, just one small line of steam tables, but I guess maybe there's not that much variety in Indian buffets. They did have what I came for though, and that's the Tandoori Chicken! Most of the other offerings besides the Tikka Masala and basmati rice, I'll pass on ... not the most appetizing looking stuff I've seen. But I'll tell you what, that was the best tasting Tandoori Chicken I ever had at a buffet! It was so tender your teeth just sank in and pulled away effortlessly. The flavor was right on as well. I did like that they included thighs and drumsticks. Not like some Indian buffets, serving just the weird back and boney pieces and saving the good pieces for the ala carte dinner menu. I got my fill of chicken so I guess the price was worth it. Nice hot naan was brought to my table too. Drinks included with this buffet, soda, mango lasse and hot Cha. The Tikka Masala was good flavored, but the white meat chicken in it was a little dry, but that's white meat for ya. Poured over rice, the Tikka was very good. I'll come back here sometime. But I can't help think, the big Chinese buffet for a buck less you get way more selection of food ..... but you can get Tandoori Chicken there!"

"Ojiya is located in Torrance where many Japanese restaurants thrive. This place looks really humble from the outside and offers enough seating inside. We went there on a weekday evening and we were seated straight away. It looks like the customers here are looking for that cozy casual dinner and Ojiya is the perfect place for that vibe. There are many things to choose from their menu! I am honestly spoiled for choices from bento to sushi to curry katsu rice to omu rice to udon and many other appetizers and side dishes. Wow, I didnt know what to pick.So in the end, we ordered:1. Agedashi tofu: This deep fried tofu drench in dashi flavored sauce is such a heartwarming appetizer and way to start our main dishes! Very delicate and delicious. 2. Curry Omu Rice: I love their Japanese curry rice the chicken is crispy and curry is not overly thick nor watery. Definitely well executed and I love this one really well. The rice itself is tomato based, not my cup of tea but it goes really perfectly with the dish.3. Omu Rice: their omu rice egg is so fluffy and so soft. The rice itself is a seaweed based rice and this is my favorite rice! 5. Yaki Gyutan: I was really excited to try their gyutan (beef tongue), but it is not as good as I thought. It is not so tender and I had a little difficulty chewing it. Also, a little salty I was really thirsty after eating a few bites. Overall, I really enjoyed Ojiya. I would come back here to try their other stuff in the menu. Very promising. Ambiance is really chill and cozy and service is so good."

"Follow Up Response to Owner: My intent was neither to be sarcastic nor was it intended to induce a reverse insult by you to me, a patron. My review was an attempt to produce an unbiased personal opinion which I thought I was entitled to do at any restaurant I visit. Unfortunately, there is no rating here on yelp to reflect 'not applicable or neutral ', so I will graciously increase my rating from two stars to three stars in an attempt to take the high road here. However, your statement that providing patrons with Nestle plastic bottled waters is a special benefit is your entitled opinion. For me, I am not in favor of my family drinking water in plastic bottles due to proven leaching of plastic degradationover time which is toxic for human consumption, pending the length of time the water remains in the bottle and the quality of the PET rating of the bottle. Neither of which I can determine on first time entry into your establishment. Also,in my opinion, serving a larger group with plastic water bottles appears aesthetically tacky for a restaurant that wants to position itself among higher priced restaurants. The table remains cluttered with Nestle brand plasticbottles. Regarding privacy, I won 't spend time arguing this point with you. I simply want to inform the people that do take issue with the constant bombardment of security webcams at every turn and location that they can decide forthemselves how comfortable they are with the numerous surveillance cameras that are pointing towards customers as they walk in and sit down in your restaurant. Lastly, be prideful for your accomplishments, but no so prideful that youignore your patron 's opinions. Best wishes on your continued success. Original Review: I appreciate all the good reviews but our experience was not in line with our expectations of an upper echelon restaurant with higher than averageprice points on the menu. Upon entering for the first time and being seated, the waitress brought us medio"

"Fantastic food, good service 10/10 rating, I went last week and I 'll be coming back. They have a cozy shop atmosphere, its very nice. I loved how they served shared serving bowls and seperate individual eating platters. Their free appetizer is delicious and not filling, a nice warm up. Their meals are worth every penny and delicious and serve at least two people each, more if there are many courses chosen and you get rice that you ladle your entree(s) onto. Don 't get two of the same if you want to eat the same meal, just get two different entrees and that will feed 4 or 5 people, ladled onto rice on your own seperate plates. They work with you on spiciness, just ask and they 'll detail it. They told me 10 was spicy for an indian, and 7 was regular indian food, I (as a Morrocan who grew up eating Morrocan) was very happy with a 5/10 and 6/10 spicy level food, and my friends liked the 8/10 but that one cousin said the 9/10 wasn 't spicy enough haha. I saw someone said their food was bland, I assume they do a 2/10 spicy level on default (you should ask for spicier if you want it) so that tongues unused to spice can handle the food too, but I had some of the bland butter chicken and the spices were really well balanced and complex even though it didn 't have cayenne... but I preferred to mix the butter chicken with something spicier to have more kick personally."
