"Sometimes, it pays to go in to a place without looking at the reviews. La Pinata is one such place. A co-worker and I ventured off of High Street in search of a lunch place. After my masterful parallel parking in front of La Pinata, we went in for what turned out to be a fairly pleasant surprise. Pros: Ample parking around the area. Ample seating inside the restaurant. Very cheap food less than $7 for a plate of Arroz con Pollo). Cheap seafood $5 +tax for shrimp and fish tacos). Huge menu Freshly made salsa with chips free, of course) Cons: Not gourmet for sure. Service can be slow due to staffing issues, though it was fast on our visit. All in all, don't come in here expecting Tex-Mex on the level of Nada. Instead, La Pinata is on par with most Tex-Mex places. But altogether, I think this restaurant definitely deserves to be much higher than the 1.5 stars it receives so far."

"I can not get over how amazing this place is. A breezy 87 degrees outside with a lovely lady taking orders and churning them out. We had a mix of chicken, barbacoa, and pernil across tacos and a burrito. That barbacoa was crafted by this woman blessed with a gift from God. I have zero explanation for how amazing this food was. The exterior was tidy, easy to find, order, take home. Seven tacos (Mexican style) and a burrito for $32. She set the bar so high that I don’t want to go to any restaurant again. Juicy, delicious, piping hot even after a 10 minute drive home. The hot sauce wasn’t too spicy which would be the only comment, delicious just less spicy than anticipated. EDIT: i only had the guac sauce and green sauce, the red hot sauce is spicy, not so spicy you can’t taste the flavor which is absolutely delicious"

"This is, without a doubt, our favorite restaurant in Oxford right now. The food is not only delicious but the service is exceptional, and we always feel like part of a family when we visit. You can really sense that they genuinely care about their customers. The atmosphere also looked fantastic before they closed. I don't think it’s fair to judge the restaurant based on poorly taken photos on OxfordToYou, since they are an independent entity, not associated with the restaurant. We will continue to dine and order from them, and we hope they are here for a long time to come."

"it is located on the parking lot in the eastridge at the food dish near the back of the parking lot to the main roads. this place makes so good eating it deserves so much business and popularity. I ordered 2 top burritos $12 each) from this place without line and they came within 10 minutes. the man who took my order was also so kind and nice. he never seemed upset when I made many adjustments. a long time ago I was traumatized by really acidic acid acid acidic acid, which took up half of my burrito and dropped it apart. but the sour cream was modest and a compliment to the burrito - only the perfect amount of taste and moisturity. I usually think asada is too dry, but it was well cooked, tasteful and delicate! my personal favorite meat is cabeza and although others may not like it to me my burrito was super soft to eat and munch. it was like soft musk, but not gelatine, as my ideal texture is. this is my way to Burrito Square!"

"Chuy and his team did an outstanding job! We recently stopped by for some curbside pickup and shared tacos, tostadas, and a quesadilla. We tried a variety of meats, including pollo, asada, and chorizo, and they were all delicious. I usually don't enjoy chorizo, but after trying it at Unos, I'm now a fan. We also ordered guacamole and queso; the guacamole was fantastic with chunks of fresh avocado! We had so many crispy chips left over that we took a large bag home! "The service here is excellent and friendly. The burritos are large and healthy, filled with homemade refried beans. Everything is made from scratch, offering authentic Mexican food—none of this fast-food nonsense like Taco Bell or Chili's. This is the real deal, straight from the motherland. Need I say more? You really have to experience it for yourself; the flavors are incredible and melt in your mouth. And let me tell you, the chili is seriously hot—it curled my toes! I'm not exaggerating; my toes are still curled, and I enjoyed that burrito about an hour ago. I also had four tacos, and I've got two more burritos saved for later when I get snacks."
