"We went to the packing house on Saturday for a celebratory dinner. My husband had never dined here before but I had been before but not for many years. Truth be told, I don’t think the place lived up to what I remembered. Our server was given our table due to someone else being sick or something. The server assistant was good but I think our waiter was a little goofy to be completely frank. He kept telling us weird tangents and talking about going to the dermatologist this week. Very odd. I feel like I know far too much about this man than necessary. Lounge band was decent. Bar staff was quick. Ok now on to the food. Our table had 4 diners total. We split some appetizers which included the escargot , which I felt was the best appetizer, the bacon water chestnuts were good as well, but the crab stuffed mushrooms I felt were too fishy tasting this time, and the French onion soup was so salty that we didn’t even finish it. Salads were decent but more lettuce than anything else, one tomato one cucumber on it. Bread I think was good that was served to the table. As far as entrees, I know you are a steak house, but my husband and I wanted to try some other items. I had the scallops which were tender but the linguine it came with was too buttered I would have preferred a sauce on it. Husband had ribs he liked those but the fries were too soft not crispy enough. Other diners had beef Wellington which I’ve never ate so I don’t know what that is, and a steak but she said it was kind of salty. I didn’t do a dessert I had an after dinner drink of a tom and Jerry that wasn’t made correctly or served in a hot drink cup. I guess I just remember it differently. It was overall decent but I think there’s better choices in town."

"It was ok. Alex our waitress was nice and then big parties started coming to sit outside. Tons of dogs and if you like that, great. Go inside if you don’t. Because there were lots of them outside. Then we just ordered two drinks and two sandwiches. Nothing major. Awhile goes by and my wine glass is empty. The waitress had brought out drinks for the large tablesno biggie. So when she walks by I just ask for another glass of wine and possibly my salad (I ordered a side salad with my meal). She snottily responds “I was waiting on the larger tables” . Yea I saw that. I wasn’t waving my hand like a maniac asking for wine, as my son is in the restaurant business. So she comes back in a bit, with the wine and our food. She slams the food down on the glass table and I know the table and plates are glass so it makes a noise but she did it abruptly. Then, throws the bag of chips down my company had with their sandwich and starts talking in a loud voice to us for no reason. She came back later and asked if everything was ok in the same loud voice. Sorry we weren’t a big table and I just wanted a glass of wine and food that’s not cold. My son would’ve been angry over this even. I usually leave a 25-45% tip at least. Her tip reflected her attitude. The food was good but minuscule in size. The “side salad” is just a few pieces of lettuce and some tomatoes. The coleslaw was in a table spoon sized cup and pulled pork sandwich was good but small also with very few pieces of pork. Not impressive. Photo included of the mini sized coleslaw."

"We had a fairly large party. We called ahead to confirm we could get seating and to be courteous and warn a large party. When we called, we were not greeted with someone from Caeser's but instead from the front desk of the motor inn where the restaurant is housed. That person was not the warmest, but we got seats, nonetheless. The folks there were very friendly, and the dining room as we entered wasn't extremely busy, seemingly occupied with regulars. There's a bit of a selection of food from standard fare to seafood, but the prices seem to borderline on high. (For two adults and 3 young children whom shared a meal, it was 84 dollars..no seafood or soft drinks in the order. In particular, we ordered a bacon and bleu burger with fries, an order of boneless wings (1lb , a large fry, and an adult plate of chicken alfredo, split between 3 kids. The burger tasted as though it came from a box; over seasoned and salted. Just the burger itself was a salt lick, not adding the blue cheese crumble to the mix. The fries were cold and seemed as though they were done first, plated, and then waited for other items to be done. The boneless wings were very good, and the kids enjoyed their chicken Alfredo. Overall, the food took a very long time to come out, and seemed the same for tables around us. Others in the party had a rack of ribs; which were largely flavorless and seemed to be spare ribs, vs baby back ribs. The tenderness was okay, but not overly appetizing. An order of Nachos was ordered as well, they were essentially tortilla chips with shredded cheese, which wasn't melted and seemed microwaved vs baked. The other items in the nachos were good. Overall, while not a completely terrible visit, the quality of said meals did not line up with the price. I would visit again if the quality met the price, but have a hard time recommending if this mixed quality is what is to be expected and at the price point presented. What I can say is this: if you like wings, have at it. It may take a bit to come out, but they universally seem to be good. Otherwise, the quality and taste of the other food may be a roll of the die, at higher than necessary price point. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
