"The antithesis of the typical dinner playhouse (at least in our experience). Most dinner playhouses we've been to have passable food and entertaining and professional performances. The Vineyard features delicious, home-cooked food and super low-budget, cramped-for-space performances by aspiring actors. The Vineyard feels like a loving great aunt's house, and the moment you step inside, you're family. The primary clientele (at least the night we went) are all 60+, so we, being in our mid-30s, were the youngest by far (excluding the people on stage). Being cramped for space, the plays are 90% dialogue and 10% imagination. We never struggled to see what was happening on stage because there wasn't much to see. The show we saw was funny at times and a bit emotional at times, but it was clear these were not professionals. They probably have day jobs. TL;DR Amazing food, generous portions, and decent enough entertainment. The price is a bit high for what you get, mostly because the food is the highlight. If they had more space and a more professional production, I would gladly pay more."
