"5 stars for food. High quality and huge portions. I enjoyed a chimichanga and a horchata both were amazing. Love the salsa here. It's a little chunky and perfect heat level. Mmm. My mom got a huge taco salad. They put cheese on it although she requested no cheese. But she still loves the salad. They brought out a small toy and crayons for my daughter which was thoughtful. Server was very nice and accommodating. Atmosphere has much to be desired. I'll say older product. Not quite run down or dingy but def not new bright or modern. Perfect place for lunch for my family. Lunch specials too!!"

"08/02/2024 Let’s begin with this was my first time in a while getting service like this at Mi Casa. Gigi our waitress started off good but then it seems like we just were forgotten about. Idk if it was bc my stepdaughter found a hair in her food (we didn’t want anything free just remade, there was never an apology) or if it was the table OPD that came in and she wanted to put all of her focus on them or was it bc we were the only table of black patrons in her section let along the whole building. We weren’t asked if we needed refills of our water or sodas, I had to holler out ma’am when she got through bussing another table just to order another margarita, we were asked once maybe twice once we ordered our appetizers then when she came back to take our entree order and the food was brought out she came once. She walked by our table checking on everyone around us but just walked all over us!! They can look on the cameras they have to see. This really put a bad taste in my mouth for mi casa they are usually my number 1 pick when wanting Mexican food. I’m very disappointed."

"If you only knew the whole history of this place. My wife's Great Grandparents have been going here since the early 60s. The original owners came from Mexico and brought her mother's recipes with her. Best thing is that even though the restaurant has moved locations several times they still use those same recipes.Food is amazing and truly authentic Mexican food. If you want the best food around you need to try this place. Make sure to try their queso and a small combination plate. You won't leave hungry......"

"Nowhere else in town comes close. This place uses higher quality ingredients. If they don’t make their tortillas from scratch then they’ve got me fooled. They taste every bit as good as those made by friend from Ciudad Juarez who’s family has been making them for untold generations. They don’t bother with “hot” or “mild” salsa here. It’s as hot as the chef wants and it comes in green or red. Further, there are no plates or bowls for the chips and salsa because you’re only going to want a few drops on every chip. Drip it on yourself. And don’t expect your meat to be precut for you. You’re not a baby bird needing prechewed food. The meat comes hot off the skillet. Cut it yourself. And, while the menus are bilingual and the wait staff sort of speaks English, this is a Mexican restaurant. Everyone grew up speaking Spanish. This place is an offshoot of a Mexican grocery store, run and staffed by wonderful Mexicans. If you want Americanized Mexican this place is not for you. If you want Tex Max this place is not for you. If you want Mexican, though, this place is the best around, by far!"

"I had my doubts due to some recent reviews, but we decided to give this place a try, and we weren't disappointed. The drinks and salsa were fantastic, and while the food was a bit pricey, I think it was worth it. I ordered the Michelada, and it was exceptional with a nice kick—highly recommend it! Fresh guac good sign. They make their own corn and flour tortillas good sign number 2. Tex Mex cuisine pure and simple. Combo plate is a nice selection of three traditional basics. "Went to Tio on Sat 4/1/23, as it is a new addition at Christiana Mall, in hope to have a nice Mexican meal, but was very disappointed by the flavor of food. Absolutely they should not call this a Mexican restaurant at all. Everything was bland. Ordered Mexican street corn on cob, all it had was cheese, nothing else. Ordered. Burrito with Cauhilo Chicken for myself and it was Absolutely Horrifically BLAND. Had the same black beans inside which is Hroifically Bland. My wife ordered a Cauhilo Chicken Bowl and it was same as well. Only the drink I ordered of Grilled Pineapple was good (Not Great), I liked it as I like smoky Scotch or Bourbon.Honestly, they should not claim this as a Mexican restaurant with flavors like this.
