"so I do not want to lie to yall and imma rant for a minute ???but I do not recommend polly claires for a birthday party ever again!originally when I first called and booked i told them I would be having maybe 10 , 15 people there I told them her dad had passed recently so her dads side may possibly show up thank goodness they did not now! so I told them I needed the private room upstairs intended for parties.ofcourse I needed that room like are you serious its a 7 year old girls birthday party!!!!????well they inform me when i got there the whole upstairs was occupied and they wouldn't be able to serve my party aswell today due to the party upstairs ? in which I told them I needed that room when I very first called them !! they called me second time and I did say probably not as many people but its a party how am I supposed to know who's all going to show!I just gave the closest estimate of kids.anyway they sat us in the main dining room ywere people sat and stared at my daughter and just talked badly the whole time ?the older woman in the sweater just stood there staring the whole time with a look on her face that just was really displeasing to me and my guest she rolled her eyes when she saw the little girls putting on the dress up hats she gave everyone real RACIST vibes like we were all so uncomfortable yall . ready to run out that place and this little girl just stared at my daughter the whole time ? I was so ready to ask her momma sitting there what was wrong with her daughters face and why was it looking so ugly !?? honestly. thats ridiculous it was my baby's birthday party and yall tried to ruin it .all she wanted was a tea party with her friends. she had fun because thank goodness she didn't pay attention to them. but these people were very ugly point blank can never change my mind on it server was very rude did not receive tea or food until 30 minutes in sitting there be stared at please NEVER BOOK HERE if you want your babygirl and her family and friends to enjoy a nice tea party brunch just do not call them. I'd love to honestly see them shut down after yesterday.it was true horror. and it was like the lady was doing everything on purpose to make us feel unwelcome and ready to leave I don't know what kind of place thier running but it was a disaster.racist vibes. and just never seen so much evil in one place. very sad ? ? I wish when I walked in she would of been like no we cannot do her birthday here because were racist and it will just ruin everything because I would of said good day and walked out. f FYI people come in all different shapes and sizes and color and we should never treat someone badly over the way they look feel free to share because I'd hate to see someone else's family go through what we did yesterday. ?‍?? praying for this place ? they d9nt even deserve one star !!!!"

"I love University Place: the cute shops like William and Wayne, Ralph Lauren's Rugby and now I stumbled upon Luke's Lobster(yay! . But I was in the mood for this corner diner on 11th that was cute and cozy--yikes! It's gone! I kept walking because I was in the mood for soup especially on a cold winter day such as today. Then I passed Nanoosh and perused their menu posted on the window. I entered and was told to sit anywhere. I was quickly greeted by my server who served me water and an amuse bouche: a pita triangle with diced kalamata olives, my fave olives from Greece. Delicious! I studied the menu; I was famished and could have ordered one of each. Nice selection of salads: Arugula with carrots, raisins, walnuts and dried cranberries. There's Greek and avocado and lentil. Today's special soup was butternut squash, my fave, which I ordered. There are hummus bowls which comes in original or roasted pepper hummus: one standout is masabaha: warm chickpeas, pickled jalapeños, cilantro hot sauce and lemon parsley tahini. Their wraps feature marinated chicken, falafel and Mediterranean beef. Then there's the power plate where you choose your base: hummus or basmati/ turmeric rice then your protein such as chicken, falafel or beef and 2 toppings: tahini,Baba Nanoosh, lentil salad etc. I will try this next time. So here's my order: butternut squash soup: velvety, rich and creamy. You can get small or large. Then I really wanted falafel which was risky because they put quinoa in the mix which I'm not a fan of but decided to gamble. I ordered a side of hummus tahini and falafel which comes with gluten free pita. The hummus was savory and fresh. Here comes the disappointment: yep the falafel. I like my falafel deep fried and a little spicy. I think the quinoa does nothing for it. But I ate it all and it was very filling. For dessert I had a little slice of baklava heaven. What a great indulgence especially with honey dotted on the side for dipping. The service is accommodating, courteous and super friendly. The restaurant is clean, warm and inviting. Nanoosh caters and has other locations.Seriously need to open in Brooklyn. I shall return!"

"*continuation of previous review*Once we wrapped up, our photographer was extremely excited to get us done in time to enjoy cocktail hour which was supposed to run from 6-7 as we were walking to the area everyone was being ushered into the dining area. Again, felt like we were being rushed to start because at this point it was just a little after 6. Even our photographers looked puzzled, they thought they were behind schedule. As we were waiting to be announced for our entrance, again our coordinator was nowhere to be found and we could not hear our announcement. It would 've been helpful for her to be there to signal us in. The only saving grace of dinner was the fact they set aside some appetizers for us at our table. We ended up doing a pasta station which was great, however It took close to two hours to serve everyone. At one point one of my guests informed me that one half of the room was still waiting to get served. I just feel like if they are going to do a made to order pasta station, they should come up with a better system to assure everyone would eat at the same time. With this, it caused a massive delay in the start of dessert and dancing. By the time everyone was fed, it was after 8:00pm. Also, I had informed my coordinator that a guest had a gluten allergy she assured me they would have gluten free pasta. When my guest informed the server, she was extremely rude and told him they didn 't have any options. My maid of honor ended up going to find the coordinator (again, nowhere to be found) and telling her she stated Oh yes I remember I just didn 't inform them Now, isn 't that something of importance that everyone should 've been made aware of? What if my guest had a serious nut or seafood allergy? Careless mistakes like that could seriously kill someone. But yet, the ranger is concerned of us snapping a few photos for our safety. If I am being honest, that will be the first and last time I ever host an event or even go to Grill on the Hill or Green Hill again. I definitely would not recommend hosting any important events here."

"I really wanted to like Este, with it's great design, fun atmosphere, and, most importantly, it's close proximity to my house. We've driven by so many times and finally decided to give it a try. So we ordered what looked like the tastiest item on the menu- the Clay. We meat lovers were drooling over the idea of it. We called in our order and were told that because it was a busy Saturday night, it would be minutes before it was ready. Of course that was fine so we showed up for our pizza about minutes after our call and ran home to ravish it. But unfortunately we were met with disappointment after disappointment. Our pizza was cold, clearly ready long before minutes and had been sitting out on the counter. A quick call to let us know it was done sooner than expected would've sufficed but alas... Even after being reheated in our microwave, the pizza was nothing great. The meat was all rather flavorless, particularly the meatballs that we were so excited for. They were dry and tasted like they'd been sitting out for a few days before being put on our pizza. The crust was tough and boring with absolutely no flavor to it. Unfortunately, Este did not live up to our expectations and we felt like it was a waste of While I like to give every eatery a second chance before writing a negative review, I have no intention of going back when there are a million other pizza joints in Salt Lake.To summarize, my husband said I think I like Dominos better.. So if that doesn't tell you anything I don't know what will!"
