"Ordered a pizza and a gondola online at 12:50 PM. Drove to the restaurant and immediately went into the carryout lobby. Wasn 't long to have my turn at the counter and was told it would be a while for the pizza. Ok. It 's only been 10-ish minutes. Waited patiently for 20+ minutes, asked about my pizza and was told again it would be a bit as they were short-handed. Ok. Not unusual in many places, but pushing the limits of acceptability here. A bit before I asked about my order, I noticed what I thought might be my pizza getting put into the warming oven. Counterguy never paid any attention to those two pizzas that were in there in spite of having pulled a couple of other orders out to give to their owners. So back to waiting. At about 1:35 (45 minutes after the order was entered), Counterguy says 'Here 's your pizza '. To which I replied, Um, that 's a 6 , I ordered a 10 AND a gondola. Is this a 10? He said no, grabbed a gondola (at least it was the right one), and then proceeds to finally look into the warming oven, at the very pizza that has been sitting in there for over 30 MINUTES! Turns to hand it to me and I say You 've got to be kidding me! That pizza 's been sitting there for half an hour or more while you left me waiting? ' Counterguy sharply replies 'I 'm trying to do five things here. ' No apology, just an excuse that he was too busy. Granted he was busy, but he never even looked at that pizza or the other one in there in all that time. So while I was waiting and I was basically watching my pizza turn into a brick. Counterguy proceeded to deny responsibility for the poor service when I addressed his snappy response about being busy. Got to my car (finally) with my pizza and gondola. Before leaving the lot, called the manager and was told only that he would talk to Counterguy and discipline him accordingly. No empathy, no apology, just mostly dead silence. Discipline him accordingly sounds to me like he was likely not even going to say a word to him. This ticked me off further and though not proud of it I gave him an earful, too. Got home with my brick with extra cheese and after one bite, tossed the whole dam*ed thing in the garbage. I have never had worse service at Avanti 's."

"The menu is impressive, offering a wide variety of choices. Some of our favorite appetizers include the mozzarella sticks and mushrooms, and their garden salads are always fresh and crisp. For main dishes, we love the homemade lasagna, tortellini with meat sauce, and baked cod with Italian vegetables. If you're in the mood for a cold sandwich, you can't go wrong with Avanti's Famous Gondola, featuring lean ham, salami, American cheese, and fresh salad. For a hot sandwich, the roasted ham and cheese or my personal favorite, the roasted turkey with Swiss cheese, never disappoints. My go-to appetizer is their fried mushrooms served with ranch dressing—so delicious! With numerous menu options, Avanti's is one of our favorite Italian restaurants for family meals. Their bread is always fresh and tasty, and having dined here for over 30 years, I've never been let down by the food or service. For our Christmas party on December 15, 2018, we opted for their buffet, which was absolutely fantastic! I think we've found a perfect venue for future family Christmas gatherings. Everything was just right, and our little elf of a waitress did an outstanding job. The buffet included spaghetti with meat or Alfredo sauce (the best I've ever had), salad, Italian vegetables, gondola sandwiches, and their famous bread served at the table. We all had a wonderful time, and with our large family, it was great not to have to worry about cooking!"

"Racism. Sat at the bar as a party of one and placed a small carryout order. I watched four customer 's arrive after me and spread out amongst the bar. During a timeframe approximately between 40-50 mins, I notice that the four others are eating food as I sit and patiently wait for my small carryout order. I then realize where is my food, right? Well, believe it or not the waitress really does not have a valid explanation. She checks the food tickets and says it should be shortly ready. More and more food orders of other customers are being placed on the kitchen production counter area!!!!!!! I requested to speak with the manager which I learned was the owner named TOM. He unapologetically says, the kitchen follows the orders as food is requested. He then says I could check the time on your food was ordered and all others. Well, I understand the order of the kitchen- but I was here and ordered before the customers you are pointing to in your restaurant so help me understand this situation and follow up with me asap. Tom walks away without notice, heads to the kitchen, returns to me and says I can give you 20% off your bill. 20%? I have a $50 plus food order. Tom was VERY aggressive in manner as if this is a matter that I initiated as a customer. He never spoke of the outcome of investigating all orders were placed. I proceed to tell him that I have been waiting almost an hour for food. Tom cuts me off mid-sentence and yells MAAM YOU DID NOT WAIT A HOUR STOP SAYING YOU WAITED A HOUR . I never been yelled at by a restaurant owner, i have never not received an apology or an explanation as to why customers who arrived after me received food prior to my order, I have never NOT been asked how I can be accommodated as a customer. Not to mention, there was a customer beside me cosigning Tom 's behavior knowing that he arrived and ordered after I. Customer service is key and this restaurant lacks it on so many levels. MIGHT I ADD- while all of this is actually happening...guess who still was waiting for food? Me. I opted for a full refund and Tom still did not acknowledge the errors HIS restaurant made. You do not have to worry about me ever returning nor recommending this place. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. Never again."
