"Upon arriving, we noticed the parking lot was quite busy for a Tuesday night—which was a promising sign. I anticipated a casual yet upscale vibe given the menu, but the atmosphere was actually warm and inviting. We were seated right away, and I was immediately taken aback by the incredible menu options!
Now, let's talk about the food! The oyster selection was fantastic, especially for a state that is landlocked, and they were absolutely delicious. The cocktail sauce that accompanied them was superb. The gumbo was rich and savory, while the clam chowder, which I usually don’t seek out, was a delightful surprise! I opted for the sea scallops served with angel hair pasta, complemented by a delicate wine sauce that paired beautifully with the perfectly cooked scallops and vegetables. My wife chose the fish and chips, which were also cooked to perfection with just a thin layer of batter, as described on the menu.
Since our main courses were so impressive, we decided to indulge in dessert. The key lime pie was among the best I’ve had in years, achieving just the right balance of tartness and sweetness. My wife enjoyed the peach cobbler, which was light yet exceptionally flavorful.
Although we live an hour away, we are definitely planning to return. We can’t wait to share this gem with friends and family who come to visit!"
