"We had not been back here since pre covid days, and it hasn’t changed one bit. The upstairs is under construction/remodel, so you walk straight downstairs. It’s weird to be in a basement, plus it’s super dark. They save money on lighting, that’s for sure. I started with the clams oregano, and they were tasty. It could have been crisped up more, but good flavor. Wife had the hand pulled mozzarella and it was excellent. While it was not table side as stated on the menu it was hand pulled in the lowe floor, close to someone else’s table. I had my go to chicken parm which is my litmus test for Italian joints. It was good but could have been pounded a little thinner. I was tempted to get the veal parm but the 60% price change was a bit more than I was looking for this particular night. Wife had the orecchiette with sausage along with broccoli rabe, chili, pecorino. No dessert this time as we had to head to the Merriam (now known as the Miller Theater) to catch a show."
