"The service was decent, with two staff members attending to us, but they didn’t seem very coordinated; my water glass was left empty for quite a while. The food was good, though not outstanding. I ordered a soft bread bowl that was a bit chewy, making it difficult to enjoy. My wife tried the cream soup, but after just a couple of spoonfuls, she remarked that it tasted like fish stock. For her main course, she had the veal, which she enjoyed, while I ordered a filet. Though the meat was tender, I personally prefer my steaks grilled.
The meal consisted of five courses, including a delightful double portion of creamy pudding, a small but tasty salad, and a whisper of the extravagant but delicious. The wine we chose was an excellent Napa Valley Cabernet, and the wine list was impressive, which greatly enhanced our experience.
Overall, the ambiance was likely the most romantic we've encountered, and while the meal was good, we’ve had better food and service at other places. By the end of the evening, including the tip, we spent over $300, which felt quite expensive for a meal that didn’t quite meet our expectations."
