"We four dined at Mason last night before a show, and everything was absolutely exquisite. We started with artichoke hearts and cured carrots as appetizers. I never would have thought to order cured carrots, but they were delicious—warm, crispy, and complemented perfectly by a mild, savory curry sauce. For my main course, I chose the skate wing, while my friends opted for the scallops. The conversation came to a standstill as we savored food that simply melted in our mouths. The skate wing was soft, buttery, and flavorful (so good that I didn’t even suggest anyone else try it), but when I noticed an errant scallop on a friend's plate, I couldn’t resist taking a bite. It was delightful—soft and light. The wines were expertly selected by a very knowledgeable bartender, and we thoroughly enjoyed our glasses. We had to leave in a hurry for the performance, but let’s talk about dessert! There were three options to share. The green tea pound cake was delightful; the spring compote was magnificent, not overly sweet but bursting with flavor; and the chocolate fudge tart was, well, it’s chocolate—what more can I say? Overall, the price was reasonable, the food was exceptional, and our maitre d' was charming. We can’t wait to return to Mason!"
