"I would share a photo, but the food looked so delicious that I couldn't resist diving in right away. This restaurant took me back home; it reminded me of the fondas my dad used to take me to. (Fondas are those charming little kitchens where mothers and grandmothers have been sharing Mexico's most traditional flavors for generations.) This is just that kind of place. Being from Mexico, I've been on the lookout for authentic Guerrero cuisine in Lake County, and this spot is as genuine as they come. Guerrero is located just north of Oaxaca, and if you’re familiar with Rick Bayless, you’ll know that many of his recipes are inspired by Oaxacan cuisine. The cooking styles of Oaxaca and Guerrero are very similar. Don't come here expecting a fancy atmosphere; instead, come for the incredible flavors. My husband mentioned that the meat could be a bit more tender, as it was slightly tough, but it might have just been a one-time issue. We would definitely return!"
