"Very disappointing dinner. Did not experience the friendly waitstaff that many reviewers mentioned except for the lovely woman who greeted and seated us. Our waiter barely spoke to us and when he did it was bare minimum except to school us on my wine choice, or to explain why he wasn’t offering us cheese for our entrees although we didn’t even ask for it. He was either having a really bad day or truly did not like his job….that’s how he presented himself. Truth be told couldn’t wait for meal to be over at this point. It was a very awkward situation. With that being said, the food was very good. We did enjoy that part of it. Squid ink pasta with arrabiata sauce and linguine alla vongole. Husband loved Caesar salad. Desserts were yummy as well. Seating is very congested and thus noise level is elevated, but knew that from reviews. Ppl next to us had to move their table for me to get out since chairs at table on other side of us backed right up to our table. It is a tight seating arrangement. Was looking forward to a great evening at what some reviewers called the best Italian restaurant in SF. Sadly can’t agree with that. Obviously won’t be going back."
