"I picked up a chicken tikka wrap, a malai kebab wrap, and a paneer roll. The wraps were good, but I was disappointed to wait an additional 25 minutes past the scheduled pickup time. It wasn't even busy at the time; they were going to close in about an hour when I placed my order. It seemed like they only started preparing my food when I arrived. Next time, I think I'll call ahead before going to the restaurant for a pickup, regardless of the scheduled time."

"We were looking forward to a Christmas day meal and were excited this restaurant was open and had reservations. After booking our table for 2:45, I received an email on Christmas Eve telling us their kitchen closes at 2:45, and asking us to come early. That was odd, but I coordinated with my party to arrive at 2:15. Odd that I was able to book a reservation at the time the kitchen closed but ok, we could accommodate. In the midst of Christmas Eve and Christmas day activities, I forgot to respond to the message. I received a phone call on Christmas morning asking if I was going to honor my reservation, and I said yes, and that we were planning on coming at 2:15 if they still wanted us to arrive early and they confirmed that would work. We arrived at 2:10, and there were lots of empty tables, but the host said our table wasn't ready. We pointed to a booth (we had 3 children in the party and he said that it was dirty (there was a lot of spilled rice on the floor, but the table was set with silverware, etc. . We said we didn't care, but he said that he was waiting for a two top to leave so he could push their table next to an open four top. We said we'd wait for them to clean, but he looked so uncomfortable that we said we'd take the toddlers out for a walk to kill time until 2:15. We came back at 2:15 and the two top still hadn't left, the rice underneath the booth still hadn't been swept up... The host said he'd squeeze us into a five top that was right next to a booth and a Christmas tree, and we declined. We said we'd wait for the booth. Two staff members came over to sweep the floor, and in the meantime the party in a different large booth opened up and they cleared that table and sat us there. The half swept rice was left underneath the first booth for at least half of our meal. On top of all this, the food was lackluster nothing special but the prices were high and the service was haphazard. Needless to say, we will not be returning."

"I was buying a sound bar with my friend off Facebook marketplace and ended up in this neighborhood. Good thing we ended up in this neighborhood, since the craving for curry struck us hard! Per the recommendation of the man we bought the sound bar from weended up here. We ordered two different types of curry, one vegetarian, and one with chicken. We also got a side of cheesy andnormal naan bread. I can’t recommend this enough."

"I recently dined at a large Indian restaurant located at the intersection of RT 16 and RT 28 in Medford. Upon entering, I noticed a fixed-price lunch buffet available at a very reasonable price, and based on the meal I had, I’m eager to try it. I started with a mango lassi, which was creamy, refreshing, and better than what I’ve had at other places. For my main course, I enjoyed a fantastic biryani rice dish that included chicken, shrimp, and mutton. The bread basket featured a variety of naans that were delightful—hot and freshly baked. My wife ordered chicken tikka masala, which was lovely, and our chicken tikka appetizer arrived sizzling on a hot plate adorned with onions; it was excellent as well. The service was efficient and attentive, and the food was served hot. I have no complaints!"

"The food we ordered was amazing. The Gobi Manchurian and mango lassi were perfect. What sets this place apart is the fresh quality of the ingredients used in their dishes. As an Indian, I found the food to have a homely style of cooking, and having visited Nepal three times, I can say the flavors and aroma were very similar to Thakali-style (Nepali thali), like it was prepared by a local Nepali lady in a serene Himalayan valley dhaba (cafe). The hosts are very welcoming, and the atmosphere is authentic, reflecting traditional Nepali Buddhist architecture. The restaurant also has a small gift shop. It's popular with Americans, which indicates that the spice levels are moderate, but generally, Nepali food isn't overly spicy. Overall, a wonderful experience!"

"If you enjoy authentic Indian food and excellent hospitality, then Color of Spices in Rockville Centre needs to be on your go to list. The decor is traditional Indian and makes you feel like you stepped into Mumbai. The aromas and foods served were excellently prepared and ample portioned. For starters, we ordered the Vegetable Samosa A small triangular pastry filled with spiced potatoes and peas, the Assorted Vegetable Platter A delicious assortment of vegetable samosa, vegetable pakora, alu ki tiki, and three baskets of Naan bread plain, garlic, and rosemary. For our entrees, we opted for Lamb Vindaloo (for those who love heat) as Vindaloo is made with a blend of hot chilies and spices, Tandoori Shrimp (for those who do not), Chicken Tikka Masala (a crowd pleaser) as it is made with boneless chicken supreme simmered in a creamy tomato gravy with a tasty flavor of fenugreek. The sauce is rich, creamy, and has just a touch of heat. Also, we enjoyed Vegetable Biryani A rice dish with whole spices of cardamom, bay leaf, cloves, cumin seed, raisin, and cinnamon served with Raita a vegetable yogurt and Gobhi Manchurian fried cauliflower and spices. All in all, we felt like Royalty as we left wanting nothing more but to return."

"Gagan Palace has been one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Stratford/Voorhees, NJ area for many years, and I can't believe I haven't shared my thoughts about it until now! Each time I’ve dined in, the service has been exceptional; the staff is friendly, courteous, and dedicated to ensuring a wonderful dining experience. The food itself is truly authentic. My go-to dishes include Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Shrimp (or Chicken) Saag (with curried spinach), Biryani, and Meat Samosas, all of which are always fresh and well-seasoned. Today, I decided to use Grub Hub for delivery, and I was pleased with the choice! Gagan Palace is located in a shopping plaza in Stratford, directly across from the PATCO High-Speed Line on one side and along the bustling White Horse Pike (Route 30) on the other. It's easy to miss if you’re not paying attention, so make sure you slow down and treat yourself to some truly fantastic Indian food!"

"I was craving for Indian food so took my American husband there for lunch. No server, all self service. You order the food and come in boxes. They give you paper plates if you want to dine-in. Honestly, I didn’t liked the food or the environment. It’s more like southern Indian flavor. Ordered butter chicken lamb korma. Korma was with curry leaves, and butter chicken was too sweet tomato sauce. I’m not sure if the cook knows to cook North Indian food. I like East North Indian food, Southern food is not my type."

"this was probably the worst indian food I had in my entire life. We started off with the assorted kebabs and mango lassi. the kebabs were very slimy and barely cooked and the flavor was really off. as for the lassi only get it if you are craving yogurt (dahi) because there is not a hint of mango in there and its just yogurt in a cup. as for the butter chicken you have a better chance of going to trader joes and getting something better because this was such an insult. it was basically tomato soup with chicken in it. the only thing that was good was the garlic naan. I would avoid this place if youre looking for good indian food and go elsewhere. sadly if I could give 0 stars I would."

"My husband absolutely loved the lamb, while I was delighted with the vegan options available. The service was exceptional, even though we arrived close to closing time. "No matter what you order, make sure to always add the Tikka Chicken pizza to your meal at this restaurant. It is filling on its own and comes with a soup of the day. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was the first time I tried it, and I have been ordering it ever since. It even tastes good the next day when reheated in the fridge. This time, I ordered the meal for two, which included lamb Tikka and shrimp Vindaloo. The shrimp was large and portioned well, and the sauce was spicy. The lamb was delicious and came with veggies, rice, naan, and dessert. I chose the mango ice cream for dessert, which was very refreshing. The restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, as well as goat, fish, chicken, and alcohol. They currently offer outside dining with plenty of parking available. Before COVID, they had a bar and plenty of seating inside with beautiful decor. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, this is a great place to eat and enjoy a meal."

"After we were seated, our server did not check on us for quite a while, and at one point, they accidentally spilled water on both me and my friend while refilling our cups. On the bright side, we ordered the chicken tikka kathi roll and fries, along with the tikka burger, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the meal, as did my friend."

"I have a friend in Andhra Pradesh, India and my partner and I decided to try Indian cuisine for the first time at this restaurant. "I’ve had Indian food all over the USA and England, and this is some of the best I’ve come across. Vegetable Korma is delicious if you’re vegetarian, with the veggie samosas, Tamarind chutney, and some Naan- you’ve got a great meal that is filling and easy, and full of spices. Kids love the chicken tikka masala. The “medium” spicy is pretty spicy- about like “hot” salsa so be advised. This place deserves to be really busy. They are fast and organized with takeout, which is easy to pickup. Before the pandemic, we loved the lunch buffet. Hope to come back for that as soon as our youngest is vaccinated. This place is not flashy looking, but the food is legit good."

"The place (currently, perhaps is 'self serve ' meaning, there are places to sit and the decor is nice, with a couple of televisions (showing what appears to be Bollywood, which I thought was neat , and you can eat with friends and/or family, but you get a menu and go up to the counter to order. You then are given a plate and your food is brought out in trays. It isn 't a place where a waiter or waitress takes your order and keeps refilling your drinks. I have no issue with that, but some go to a place to 'be served ', so keep that in mind. The food itself was very tasty, and I went with the 'middle ' spice option, as you get to choose your spice level, and it was quite nice and perfect for me. It was wonderful to try Indian cuisine and it was excellent! I love the variety of dishes and I also want to add that I love that so many different people from cultures are bringing/sharing some of their signature dishes in VA it 's like sharing a part of your home and history. Looking forward to trying more dishes! I had the Pineapple Kesari (dessert and the 'Special Chicken ' Biryani both excellent dishes! They are in the first photo (the photos may not display right unless the photos section is visited? . The Kesari was a sort of paste that had raisins and almond pieces and was nice and the Biryani was a tasty rice and curry chicken meal mixed with with herbs and a boiled egg!"
