"The taste is very good but the service is WORST( understatement) and the quantity is average. I went on a dosa night. They force you to eat idli, upma, wada and pongal along with the first dosa (plain dosa only) which I didn't want to eat as I came for dosa night and didn't want to waste as it is food!! And you dont have the option to change or modify the items. This is their trap to fill your stomach after the first serving itself.Then we ordered 2 dosas which came after 20 mins!!! Then we ordered 3 dosas next. The server brought only the dosas without the chutney! I waited for the chutney to arrive which never arrived even after asking multiple times. I waited for 15 20 mins!! Finally, as I was finishing my dosas (WITHOUT THE CHUTNEY), the server brought it and when I told him that I have already finished eating my dosa. He asked me to order another dosa to eat with this chutney which obviously i didn't want to!!When i asked for the check, they charged us 15 usd per person which was not accurate from what they said a week ago. When i told the server that their price was 12.99 usd ,he told that they changed it 2 months ago. Which obviously was not correct as they told me that it is 12.99 usd a week ago!!Next, they have halal sign on the front door. I called them and asked if they have a certificate for halal meat, they said yes. After reaching the restaurant, when i asked about it they did not have it . The receptionist told me that they have it inside and will get it and show it to me which never happened. So, basically I am not sure if they really have it. Why would a restaurant keep their halal certificate inside?They also have items on the menu they dont serve yet so check with them before going there.It doesn't end here!! I also tried ordering online. They close at 1 AM in the night and ran out of mutton biryani at 8 PM!! And replaced it with bone in chicken biryaani without informing/asking me. When I called them to change it to boneless chicken biryaani they said ran ran out of that as well. Then I asked them to change it to fried rice, then they said that the chef is not available. Really? At 8 PM?? When they close at 1 AM!! I mean come on!! When the chicken biryani arrived, the chicken quality was very bad. The meat was all pink on the inside. Looked like the chicken was not fresh at all!!!I lost trust in them and I am not going to return to this restaurant ever again!!!Now, I understood why their rating is so bad online!! The service!! I would have given negative rating if possible!!"

"I had another delightful meal at Cake Walk. This was my fourth visit, and I will definitely come back. The masala dosa was spicy and fresh, while the medhu vada was also fresh but not overly greasy, unlike what you might find at lesser establishments. The savory dishes were outstanding, but the highlight for me was the mango cake—it was wonderfully delicate, fresh, and had just the right amount of sweetness. I've never tasted anything better. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional."

"Food is good. Recommend Chole Bhature, Gobi Manchurian, Dal Tadka, Chai, Samosa, Roti, Garlic Naan, Dosa, Idli Sambhar and Vada Sambhar. "TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. Not sure why this place is rated 4 star. This is my first time ordering the food from this place. Firstly the lady in the front desk made us wait for 15 to take the order. We ordered dharam garam paneer, schezwan fried race, burnt garlic fried rice and chicken lolipops. We had to wait for 40 mins for the order to be ready. The food tasted terrible, the paneer is very hard. I dont know how someone can wrong with the texture of paneer and run a restaurant. The food was very oily. The oil was dripping in the plate. The noodles were decent. I would never ever go back to this restaurant."

"We were a group of 4 and dined here after a wonderful but tiring tour of the Biltmore estate after flying in from Seattle. The experience was quite disappointing. We did go at 845 pm on a Wednesday(place closes at 930) so tried to place all our orders at one go. We started of the the Chai which was lukewarm and not very flavorful. We also tried a couple cocktails which were quite watered down. Now coming to the food, we ordered Chicken Kathi Roll bland no salt, but meat was good. Paneer Kathi Roll did not taste since we ordered this without Egg but they sent it with egg. Sloppy Jai(Keema Pav) tasted nice but was wayy to greasy. The grease from the Keema dripped into the bottom bun which soaked it up making it impossible to eat due to how heavy it was. SPDP(dahi puri) this was quite nice and tasted fresh. Aloo Tikki chaat quite good but lacked sweetness that’s needed in this chat. Mix vegetable Uttapam served with Sambar and chutney, taste was nice but was undercooked in the middle. Also they staff was clearing trash while customers are having dinner right from the front desk(2 large trash bags were kept there for a bit before taken out the front door). Overall, this was a very disappointing experience considering the praise we had heard about this place. Maybe they had a bad day or it was closing time. The staff was quite friendly and service was reasonable. But the positives were just not enough for us to come again or recommend this to anyone else."

"I had an exemplary experience here, i went here for my iftaar and got amazed of great service by Aazam, Diksha, Umara and Abrar. They had been polite and humble throughout the time. As well the buffet has different and savoury varieties each days like Mandi, Dudh Dulari, Gajar Halwa, Chicken Tikka etc which is absolutely delicious. "I ordered chili garlic noodles, chili chicken in gravy, and chicken tikka with garlic naan. When I arrived, I walked in and picked up my food immediately, thanks to my pre-order. Now, let's talk about the food—it was packed with flavor! Everything was excellent. The only minor issue was that the chicken tikka had a bit more oil on top than I prefer, but I was able to easily skim it off. The portions were generous; they certainly didn’t hold back on the meat, unlike some other restaurants. The prices were very reasonable too—you really get your money's worth here. It's such a rare find to discover hidden gems like Delhi 6 that truly know how to perfect their dishes! The only thing I wish I could have gotten was a side of red onions. I usually see that offered at Indian restaurants, so I expected it here as well. But that’s a small detail—there’s always next time. I can’t wait to try more items from their menu! "The dining experience at this restaurant is fantastic. The food was delicious and what struck me was the price and quantity of the food. Like there are many Indian restaurants around the city but the quantity and quality I got in that amount is the best thing I have seen so far in USA. The manager named Muneeb who is also the chef was very nice and never let me feel that I am in some other country and not in India. Verbal conversation always makes a person comfortable and it was the same yesterday. Now, of course this restaurant has become my favorite and am looking forward to visiting it once a week as I am a food lover and always try a new dish every week. "This was my first time at Delhi 6 and it stayed true to its name. They started right by serving some papad and chutneys. Deepak K. was welcoming and courteous host. He suggested an appetizer which was not on the menu and we loved it Paneer Corn tikki, Delicious. The test was authentic for every dish we ordered. We ordered Kadai Paneer, Daal tadka, Garlic naan, butter naan and Tandoori Roti. Every curry is served with a small size rice. Though it took sometime as they were short staff but good things take time. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Quantity was also good. This is a BYOB place and the Liquor store is right next door. Music selection and the ambiance was great. Décor was simple yet elegant. I also ended up ordering some take out as well Samosas and Achari Paneer Kati Roll. Again both were very tasty.Deepak also happen to mention they have midnight menu. I have attached it here. From 10 PM to 2AM.I was skeptical about trying this place as the previous establishment(Rice and Rolls) was not good in quality of food or the service but the name delhi 6 convinced me to try it. I will certainly return to Delhi 6 to try some delhi's famous choley kulche/bhature and their wide selection of Indo Chinese. I think I can say its one of the best North Indian food in Piscataway.
