"I ordered a shawarma plate, and my dining companion chose a veggie shawarma plate. While it looked appealing, the taste was lacking. The place was completely empty, and now I understand why—we visited on a Saturday at 2 PM. The shawarma plate had vegetables that were old and not fresh. The salad dressing was both sour and oily. The falafel was dense, tasted frozen, and appeared to have been microwaved; it was definitely not fresh or made to order. The dolmas tasted a few days old, and the grape leaves were tough and inedible. The quinoa salad was decent, but the hummus seemed old and was flavorless. They also forgot to provide pita bread; I had to go back to remind them, and they didn’t even apologize for the oversight. By the time we were done, we had barely touched half of our meals. The shawarma fries, which were supposed to come with everything, were thick-cut steak fries that were warm but lacked crispiness and appeared to be microwaved. They tasted frozen and definitely not freshly made. There was an overwhelming amount of hot sauce, but there was little to no tahini sauce. The tomatoes tasted like they had been sitting in the fridge for too long. While there was a generous portion of meat, its flavor was strange, and the texture was unsettling; I couldn't finish my meal. The soda machine had only one working option (Sierra Mist), and the iced tea was out of service, though the water was available. The staff's demeanor left much to be desired; they seemed indifferent and unenthusiastic. The woman who took our order appeared unhappy to be there, and another employee returned from lunch with his face mask around his chin, failing to cover his mouth or nose while handling food. Overall, I went in with high expectations, but this place fell short in terms of service and food quality. I usually give restaurants the benefit of the doubt, but this experience was simply subpar."
