"On this occasion, the waiter seemed rushed and barely had time for us. No one mentioned the specials, and the overall service felt perfunctory and almost dismissive. Although people asked how we were enjoying the food, they rushed past us so quickly that we barely had time to respond. It was clear that they were merely going through the motions, showing little genuine interest in our experience.
As for the food, it was acceptable but not worth the price we paid, especially given the lackluster service. The so-called South African shrimp appeared to come from the pygmy coast rather than the prized deep-water variety that is typically cherished. The noise level was quite high, exacerbated by two children at the nearby table who spent the entire evening engrossed in games on their phones. This did nothing to enhance the atmosphere and made conversation quite challenging.
Ultimately, we decided to skip dessert and espresso and hastily left instead. Interestingly, the bill was presented with great speed and energy—perhaps that same enthusiasm could be reflected in the meal service in the future. As we exited, my colleague suggested we would meet again at Seta in Milan, assuring me of respectful service, flavorful food, and a genuine focus on cuisine instead of mere showmanship. Here's to better dining experiences ahead!"
